The former Love Islander took to Instagram to share the products that have ‘revived’ her lashes – and they’re on sale at Amazon
With Amazon’s Spring Deal Days in full swing (until March 16), former Love Islander Zara McDermott has take to Instagram to share her go-to Amazon products that have helped transform her lashes. It comes after she endured a ‘saga’ in which a lash lift left her eyelashes ‘frazzled’. And her solution is currently on sale.
Writing on her Instagram stories, the 29-year-old said: “Not sure if anyone remembers my eyelash saga from a few weeks ago (basically I had a lash lift that went terribly and my lashes are frazzled and turning back in on themselves and I’ve spent the past month feeling like I’ve constantly got something in my eye). But I’ve got a few lash recommendations that have helped and I’m gonna share.”
The Nouveau Lashes Lash & Brow Conditioning Serum, which usually retails at £19.99 is down to £16, is a lash and brow product in one. She claimed that it’s been ‘amazing’ and has ‘really helped my lashes and they’ve started to drop’.
Made with a nourishing blend of essential vitamins and conditioning actives, the serum aims to revitalise and protect the lashes and brows from daily exposure to environmental pollutants, as well as strengthening the lashesto promoting a fuller, healthier, and more voluminous appearance over time.
While it’s safe for use on lash extensions as well as natural lashes, the brand adds how it’s an ‘ideal aftercare product to support lash health following LVL (lash lift) treatments and other lash enhancements’ – understandably why Zara snapped it up in the first place.

The Nouveau Lashes Lash & Brow Conditioning Serum is one of Zara McDermott’s go-to lash products, and it’s currently reduced on Amazon.
Recommended for use twice daily, morning and night, the serum can also be used as a primer pre-mascara to enhance lash volume. With a 4.4 star rating out of five, Zara isn’t the only beauty fan impressed by this formula, with one five star review raving: “It really does work! I applied it for a few weeks onto my top and bottom lashes 2x a day and I can see the results. They are much longer than they were before and maybe even a little bit thicker. I definitely recommend this serum, especially if your natural eyelashes have fallen out from eyelash extensions.”
Another added: “Best lash/brow serum I’ve tried, my eyebrows and lashes have never been healthier!”
Although one person didn’t have quite as good of an experience, noting how the serum hasn’t garnered very impressive results for them personally.
Another serum Zara loves is the RevitaLash Advanced Sensitive Eyelash Serum, which is currently 20% off at Lookfantastic with the code TREAT. While it’s more expensive, costing £109 full price and £87.20 with the discount code, Zara explained on her Instagram stories: “I’ve also started Revitalash Sensitive Eyes! I got it from Amazon too, not the cheapest BUT it had really good reviews and it’s worked well for my eyes so far. When I’ve tried lash serums before my eyes have hated it, but this hasn’t given me any irritation.”
This is down to the serum’s ‘gentle’ formula that has a rich peptide and botanical blend to nourish lashes at the root, with many people noting on Lookfantastic’s site how it ‘revived’ their lashes. One person said: “I can’t believe this actually works but I’m so grateful. After just 4 weeks my sparse eyelashes are already longer and thicker. I’ve tried a different one which started making the skin on my eyelids quite red so I stopped using it and gave up on serums until I found this one. Would 100% buy again.”
Another added: “Magical product. I had been using another brand for around 3 weeks with no noticeable differences. Used this for a few days and have already seen my lashes getting longer! Can’t wait til I’ve been using it for 3 months.”
As with many beauty products, this particular formula won’t work for all people and one two-star shopper shared how the serum irritated their eyes, leaving them ‘sore’ and ‘itchy’, so it’s best to do a patch test.
Eyelash serums have become quite the trend over the last few years, with a range of celebrities using them to boost their natural features, without salon intervention. Mollie-Mae Hague has been spotted using the £39 Nanolash Eyelash Serum, while Sophie Habboo, Lola Tung, Millie Court and more have invested in UKLash’s products, such as its original Lash Growth Serum, which is currently on sale for £30.40 down from £38.
