Superdrug has reduced the price of a popular “soft and delicate” perfume by almost £40. People have said that they “always get compliments” when wearing this scent, now available at a bargain.
The health and beauty retailer recently slashed the prices of some popular perfume brands in the lead-up to Mother’s Day (Sunday, March 15). One of the biggest price drops brought Ghost The Fragrance down from £70 to £31.20 online, saving shoppers close to £40 ahead of spring and the annual holiday.
At the reduced price, the 150ml bottle of “understated yet gloriously feminine” perfume is one of the biggest discounts Superdrug is offering at the time of writing. The “iconic fragrance” blends fresh notes of floral rose, jasmine, and white flowers with apricot, vanilla, and musk.

People wanting a smaller option can purchase the 30ml bottle, which is also discounted from £29 to £23.20. There are similar perfumes available elsewhere on offer in the lead-up to Mother’s Day.
Boots is selling the Versace Woman EDP with a similar floral-fruity blend for a major discount (50ml, £24 down from £70), and The Perfume Shop has a deal on Vera Wang Princess (100ml, £19.99 down from £66). But the reviews show how popular the Superdrug deal is.
Talking about the Ghost fragrance, one shopper said: “It’s light, airy and smells very fresh. Also layers really well with other fragrances.” Another put: “I love the feminine notes and the long-lasting scent. Every time I wear it, I always get compliments.”
Someone else wrote: “I love this perfume spray and would bathe in it if I could. I always have nice comments, and it seems to have grown with me as I have worn it for years.”
A fourth posted in their review: “My favourite perfume, and I have never seen it at this price! I have bought two bottles to keep me going!” And, another said: ” Such a soft, delicate fragrance, and it was such a bargain.”
Despite having dozens of rave reviews, a few people did have some issues. One claimed it smelled “too strong and sweet”, and another suggested that “the smell didn’t last two minutes” on their skin.
A third wrote: “Good price for a huge bottle, but it has little smell. People used to compliment me on this perfume but not any more.” Out of 466 reviews, fewer than 10 were under four stars.
Most people were pleased with their purchase, including one shopper who said: “My favourite of all time! I’ve been using this perfume now for many years and absolutely love it. I occasionally buy a different perfume but always return to my favourite.”
