A sixth person has been arrested after a violent incident erupted near a major UK airport yesterday.
The incident happened on the A38 close to Bristol Airport and was reported to Avon and Somerset Police at around 8.25am on Saturday, February 21.
The crash saw multiple vehicles damaged and a confrontation broke in which two people were attacked and injured. Two men are undergoing treatment in hospital. Neither are believed to be in a life-threatening condition.

A sixth person has now been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit robbery and wounding with intent, police said today. They all remain in police custody at this time.
Superintendent Jen Appleford said: “We are aware this incident will have caused concern in our communities, but we can reassure residents we do not believe there to be any wider risk to the public as we believe those involved are known to each other, are from outside of our force area and this was a self-contained incident.
“We responded promptly and deployed multiple resources to the scene which enabled the incident to be resolved swiftly, and we now have five people in custody and will be carrying out CCTV and forensic enquiries while investigations continue.”
Yesterday a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We have arrested five people in connection with a serious assault on the A38 near Bristol Airport which was reported to us at around 8.25am this morning (Saturday 21 February).
“Multiple vehicles were damaged after being involved in a collision before a confrontation took place. Two men have been taken to hospital and are undergoing treatment, and neither is believed to be in a life-threatening condition.
“The five men were arrested [on suspicion of attempted murder] on the M5 northbound in the Gloucestershire area and remain in custody at this time.
The force said that there was some minor traffic disruption on the A38 near the airport while emergency services responded to the incident.
