The rain-resistant jacket usually costs £120
With the news that some parts of the UK have experienced wet weather every day since the start of the year, it feels like a very good time to invest in waterproof clothing. And with spring predicted to still be a fair way away, and more rain on the cards for the country, we’re making haste with our rain-resistant orders.
However, a decent waterproof jacket is no cheap buy, which is why we’re adding TOG24’s Marina Womens Long Water Resistant Softshell Jacket to our baskets immediately. Usually priced at £120, it’s currently half price thanks to a flash sale, making it a much more affordable £60.
There are also five very wearable colours to choose from, and all of them are on sale – a rarity, considering many brands will sell the least popular shades at a discounted price, while keeping the more popular ones (like black or grey) full price. You can choose from the classic raincoat tones like khaki, black or grey, or go for something a little bit more fun, like the pastel pink or blue.
For £60, you’re also getting a load of good clothing tech. It’s waterproof, breathable, windproof and has a microfleece bonded lining so you won’t get cold outdoors. Toggle hood adjusters also mean you can tighten it to keep your head covered in windy conditions.
Seasalt Cornwall’s waterproof jacket ‘a perfect fit’ and ‘very stylish’ for the rainy weather
Don’t just take our word for it, though. Hundreds of happy shoppers have awarded the Marina jacket glowing five star reviews, with many praising it for its longline fit and clever hood.
One person wrote: “Lovely colour and so comfortable to wear, perfect fit. Only wore it once, Christmas day. Everyone passed remarks saying it was lovely. I will start wearing it again when the weather changes. I would recommend it.”
“This jacket is amazing. Great length below the knee cut makes it look smart and the hood actually stays up in the wind,” says a second, while a third adds: “I love this coat. Super colour, waterproof, covers my poor arthritic knees & warm enough for me.”
‘Wonderful material very comfortable yet has the smart look and is waterproof and more than happy thank you and the length is perfect as well,” chimes in a fourth.
Another shopper had a slightly different review, noting: “I had high expectations for this jacket. I bought size 22 and it’s tight.”
If you’re shopping around for other rain-resistant buys, you should also take a look at Columbia’s Juniper Ridge III Waterproof Down Parka . More expensive at £189, though before that sale price was £315, it features the brand’s omni-heat technology that keeps you warm and cosy even in soggy and cold conditions.
