The Quiz website has been taken offline and shoppers are being told that online orders which have not been dispatched, will be cancelled
Fashion retailer Quiz has collapsed into administration with 109 jobs lost.
The redundancies are being made across its head office in Glasgow and warehouse in Lanarkshire. The Quiz website has been taken offline and shoppers are being told that online orders which have not been dispatched, will be cancelled.
Quiz is also not issuing refunds – instead, it is advising customers to contact their bank or credit card for money back. If your order cost more than £100 on credit card, then you may be able to use Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act to get a refund.
If you paid with a debit card for any amount, or credit card for goods costing £100 or less, you may be able to use Chargeback if your purchase was made in the last 120 days.
Alternatively, Quiz says customers can exchange unwanted products in store for something else of the same value. In a notice published on the Quiz website, the company said: “Quiz’s online store has now closed.

“Customers will no longer be able to place orders via the website. Customers who have made a purchase via the website prior to 5th February 2026 and who now wish to return the item(s) will not be able to return goods in the usual manner.
“Customers are consequently advised to go to their nearest Quiz store where a replacement or substitute item(s) equal to or less than the value of the original purchase can be provided.
“Customers who have already returned items purchased via the website but who have yet to receive a refund will, regrettably, not receive a refund.
“Customers should contact the provider of the credit or debit card which was used for payment and seek assistance. Online orders that have not yet been despatched will, regrettably, not be fulfilled.”
Quiz stores remain open, and the company has announced it will be running stock clearances across all its branches. However, you should be aware that the retailer is no longer accepting gift cards.
Quiz has 40 stores across the UK and concessions in New Look and Matalan stores. Quiz concessions which trade from New Look and Matalan stores in the UK are not part of the administration processes.
Quiz also has seven concessions across the Republic of Ireland, which are included in the administration. The company employs 565 workers in total. The company was founded in 1993 in Glasgow, Scotland, by entrepreneur Tarak Ramzan.
It marks the second time Quiz has fallen into administration in a year, having collapsed in February 2025 before immediately being bought in a pre-pack deal by a subsidiary of the Ramzan family.
Alistair McAlinden and Geoff Jacobs at Interpath have been appointed as joint administrators. Mr McAlinden said: “With Quiz the latest retailer to fall into administration, there’s no doubt it’s been a tough start to 2026 for the UK high street.
“It’s our intention to continue to trade all stores and the concessions in Ireland as a going concern for as long as we can while we assess options for the business.”
Mr Jacobs added: “Any parties with an interest in acquiring the stock, store operations and infrastructure of Quiz should contact us as a matter of urgency.
“We are ensuring that those employees impacted by redundancy are provided with all available support at this difficult time.”
