Jeremy Clarkson and Clarkson’s Farm stars will be joined by music legends including Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Groove Armada
The complete line-up for Jeremy Clarkson’s Warwickshire farming festival has been unveiled. The Great British Farm-Fest features three evenings of continuous entertainment as Clarkson and his mates welcome an array of musical legends.
Launching its debut year at Stoneleigh Park, situated just beyond Coventry, the event will witness Britain’s beloved agricultural personalities, including Clarkson’s Farm favourites Kaleb Cooper, Lisa Hogan and Charlie Ireland, trading the countryside for centre stage.
Running from May 22 through May 24, the Hawkstone Music Arena, christened after Clarkson’s renowned brewery, will showcase performers including Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Groove Armada, Blur’s Alex James, Sara Cox and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson.
Friday: The Launch Night
The festivities commence with the Young Farmer DJ Battle, presented by Capital Radio’s Chris Stark, where Britain’s finest farming turntable talents will battle for supremacy. The Hot House Flowers and the rock-and-roll vigour of Rick Parfitt Jnr will take the stage next, before the evening climaxes with the iconic Groove Armada (DJ Set), reports Coventry Live.
Concluding the opening night with flair, the ‘Queen of the Kitchen Disco’ herself, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, will deliver her dazzling pop classics to rural Britain.
Saturday: The All Star Farm Party
Saturday transforms into a feel-good tribute to British musical talent. The country flavour arrives thanks to chart-topping pair The Shires.
The venue will become one massive communal sing-along with two energetic DJ performances. Sara Cox will showcase her Power Wower collection of festival anthems whilst Chris Moyles unleashes his trademark high-octane 90s DJ experience.
The nostalgic mood carries on with definitive cover band Noasis, before Massaoke takes control with their playlist of crowd-pleasing favourites.
Sunday: Non-Stop British Classics
The festival draws to a close on its final day with a homage to Britain’s musical heritage. Festival-goers can anticipate a journey through the decades featuring 10cc’s enduring classics and One Night in Nashville’s heartfelt country melodies before the weekend builds to its spectacular conclusion with two enormous shows.
The occasion signals the debut public appearance of Ricky Wilson Presents the Fabulous Adjustable Band. Fronted by the Kaiser Chiefs vocalist, this supergroup will showcase a rotating cast of renowned musicians.
At last, Blur’s Alex James’ Britpop Classical will bring the festival to its climax with a fresh interpretation of the 90s’ most celebrated tracks. Festival Director Chris Hughes declared: “We want to showcase the incredible talent of the British farming industry in a way that’s never been done before.
“By pairing legendary farmers and TV favourites with world-class DJs and rock stars, we are delivering three days of unforgettable parties that put the heart of the countryside centre stage.”
