Next has just launched an adorable new range of cardigans ready for spring, and one in particular rivals House of Sunny’s sold-out floral knit that costs £80 more
With the end of January finally in sight, we don’t know about you, but we’re very ready to start looking ahead to spring. And what could be more springtime than a cosy floral-print knit that’s guaranteed to brighten up your wardrobe?
Next has just launched a gorgeous new collection of colourful knitwear, which includes this Pink Tulip Long Sleeve Collar Cardigan for £50. The knit isn’t just perfect for bringing a little glimmer of joy into your wardrobe after a long grey January, but it’s a great alternative if you’ve been eyeing up one of House of Sunny’s joyous knits but haven’t been able to get your hands on one.

Next’s Pink Tulip Cardigan comes in a pale pink colour and features a contrasting blue and white checkerboard print collar, with a button up front to keep you cosy and give you more versatility in how you style it. It also features oversized tulips across the front, which reminded us of one of House of Sunny’s sold-out pieces, the Fresh Cut Flowers Cardigan, which sold out after its launch early last year.
A similar design is still available on House of Sunny, with the brown and yellow Sunflower Tripper Cardigan priced at £132 (and completely sold out). However we love the soft pastel shades of Next’s Pink Tulip Cardigan, and are already finding plenty of ways to slot it into our spring wardrobes.
You could easily wear it with lighter, brighter pieces like white jeans and flowing midi skirts, but it’ll pair just as well with some leggings and UGGs for a more laidback, cosy look. The button fastening also means you can wear it fastened all the way up, with the top button or two open for a more laidback style, or completely open as a layering piece when the weather is changing.
Colourful knits are set to be a huge trend this spring, and other brands have already started bringing out their own too. At ASOS you can snap up this Miss Selfridge Jacquard Flower Cardigan In Buttermilk, which is now £31.44 down from £36.99, whilst Nobody’s Child has launched the Cream Strawberry Embroidered Cardigan for £79.
However, with a price tag of just £50, Next’s Pink Tulip Cardigan is a great budget-friendly pick that’ll save you £80 on the House of Sunny version, and it’s already been getting great reviews from shoppers. One said: “It’s amazing bang on trend goes with skirts trousers or just casual with my joggers love it if you want a pretty cardigan this is it the pattern is beautiful takes my mind if this horrible weather spring is round the corner when I put this cardigan on.”
Whilst another agreed: “Saw this and couldn’t resist it for a bit of spring fun. Really great design, quite heavyweight and looks nice on. Waiting for more spring-like weather to wear it with jeans and trainers, definitely a ‘bring a smile’ item.”
Currently the only review that’s not five stars says: “Haven’t worn it yet downsized as I found it a bit boxy but lovely colours and detail.” You can pick up the Pink Tulip Cardigan in sizes XS to 2XL at Next now, although it’s starting to sell quickly.
