I’ve scoured Next, Marks & Spencer, Boden and more to bring the best designs starting from as little as £16
With spring just around the corner, it’s the perfect time for a wardrobe refresh. Now, the high street is awash with quarter zip jumpers, which are set to remain big in 2026.
Popular retailers such as Marks and Spencer, Next, and Boden are offering their own takes on the trend, which is the ideal style companion for jeans or even work trousers. The versatile wardrobe staple can be worn for many occasions and is ideal for layering now and wearing alone come warmer days.
I’ve scoured the websites of some of our favourite stores to find the best quarter-zip jumpers from across the high street. With prices starting from just £16, there’s an option for every budget.
M&S Zip Funnel Neck Relaxed Longline Jumper – £36
The side zip detailing on this jumper adds a unique touch to the quarter zip trend. Available in mid grey marl and sandstone shades, it’s proving popular with M&S shoppers, and it’s not hard to see why.
One said: “Stylish and functional. Excellent choice for cold bitter days.” It’s worth noting that another customer found the item too structured, writing: “A lovely jumper but not as ‘soft” as I was expecting – very rigid.”
Despite this, we love the longer length, stretchy fit and relaxed cut for everyday wear.
Next Cow Print Teddy Borg Quarter Zip Fleece – £32
Next’s Borg Quarter Zip Fleece comes in a variety of shades ranging from an on-trend cow print to a chocolate brown leopard print. Fans have rated it an impressive 4.4 stars out of a possible five, with one describing the item as ‘gorgeous.’
One downside is that the louder prints may be harder to style for some, but they’d team well with leggings or jeans for weekend plans.
BodenLucy Half-zip Jumper – £99
Boden’s Lucy Jumper has a zip that goes deeper than some of its other high street counterparts, but one shopper said of the stylish knit: “I LOVE this jumper.” Ideal for adding a pop of colour to a neutral wardrobe, it offers the perfect way to brighten up outfits for spring.
Taller shoppers may wish to note that one customer felt the item was short, writing: “Very lovely jumper however the overall length of the jumper was too short in the XL. Not suitable if you’re tall and large size.”
Urban Bliss Ribbed Oversized Half Zip Jumper – £16 (was £32)
This staple grey zip up is now on sale at just £16, down from £32. Also available in a stone shade which is reduced in a size S, it adds a cosy touch to denim or wide leg trousers.
It’s worth noting that the jumper may be high maintenance for some as it can’t be tumble dried and must be washed on a delicate cycle at 30 degrees.
Roman Stone Fluffy Zip Front Knit Jumper – £32
Roman’s stone knit has a fluffy finish that’s ideal for layering whilst the weather is still chilly. One shopper praised the item writing: “Very cosy and warm. Lovely colour.”
However, they did have reservations about the cut, saying: “Style not the most flattering on me as I don’t go in at the waist.”
Brave Soul chunky knit quarter zip jumper – £23.40 (was £26)
Chocolate brown looks chic all year round and this Brave Soul knit from ASOS is ideal for everyday wear. It’s yet to be reviewed on ASOS’ site, however the ribbed trim and chunky knit make it look more premium than its price tag.
I personally would have preferred the hardware in a gold tone rather than silver, but regardless I love the length which would work well for tucking into high waisted trousers.
H&M Zip Top Jumper – from £16 (was £24.99)
H&M’s cream zip top features an on-trend funnel neck with a loose fit and a soft rib knit. Thanks to the neutral hue it can be teamed with almost any colour already in a spring wardrobe, and would look perfect styled as part of a tonal outfit.
H&M shoppers say the size is spot on, meaning those who like oversized knits may need to consider sizing up to get their desired look.
Mango Zipneck contrast-stripe sweater – £35.99
Crafted from a fine knit fabric, this Mango jumper boasts a chic navy hue and a sporty stripe sleeve detail. Fashion fans who love a co-ord will be pleased to know the item also has matching trousers which can be purchased for £45.99, however the knit would also look great with white jeans.
Shoppers who like longer tops may find this one shorter as it sits just below the waist on the website model, but that does make it ideal for those who like to have the option to tuck their tops in.
