Bella Hadid just proved the 00s style renaissance is still trending as she’s spotted wearing a pair of UGGs that are straight out of the 2000s to tackle the snow on her ski trip
The snow might be settling in right now but that doesn’t mean you have to ditch style in favour of practicality. Supermodel Bella Hadid just proved that the two can go hand in hand, after she was spotted in Aspen, the popular celebrity ski destination, wearing a pair of boots that gave us a major style throwback.
Bella bundled up against the snow in a fur coat and a pair of UGG’s Women’s Classic Tall II Boots, which were the go-to style back in the early 2000s. Although UGGs have reclaimed their trend status in recent years, it’s usually been mini and low cut styles that have been the big hitters.

However Bella’s latest snowy weather outfit has brought the taller style firmly back under the fashion microscope, and we can’t deny it; they’ve gone straight to the top of our wishlists. Not only are they proof that the y2k fashion trend is here to stay for another season, but their longer length makes them even more practical for getting us through winter.
Just like the mini versions, the Classic Tall II Boots are fully lined with sheepskin which means you’ll stay cosy and warm. They also have a lightweight sole which increases cushioning and traction – perfect for tackling the slippery ground – and are coated with a water repellant treatment which means you can wear them in the snow without getting soggy feet.
The only drawback of the longer, snow-ready Classic Tall II Boots is that they’re pricier than their shorter counterparts, with a price tag of £230. And whilst we think they’re an investment worth making, if that’s out of your price range, the high street has delivered some other great alternatives.
At Debenhams, the EverAu Australia Real Sheepskin Whistler Tall Classic Boots are on sale down from £105 to £63, with a similar silhouette and long knee length and are even made from real sheepskin. Similarly, Emu Australia’s Platinum Hi Lace Boots are now down from £219 to £131.40, although there’s only a couple of sizes still in stock.
UGG customers have loved their Classic Tall II Boots though, giving them an impressive 4.7 out of 5 star rating. One said: “Nice warm boot,” whilst others praised them for how much they “loved” them and “enjoyed wearing” them.
One shopper did mention: “No arch support at all. Ended up returning.”
