Two people have been taken to hospital, one in a critical condition, following brutal Christmas Eve stabbing attack.
Police officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) were at the scene of the incident in Bangor, the force said in a statement this evening. These included armed officers, the Belfast Telegraph reports.
Cops are asking for anyone with information to come forward after the horror incident left two hospitalised on the night before Christmas.
A spokesperson for PSNI said: “Police are currently at the scene of a stabbing incident in the Chippendale Avenue area of Bangor this evening, Wednesday, 24th December. We can confirm two people were taken to hospital, with one in a critical condition.”
They added: “Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who may have any information which could assist – including CCTV or other footage – is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 914 of 24/12/25.
“You can also submit a report or information online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org/.” The Air ambulance was reportedly also in attendance at the incident.
