Boden’s Christmas party range is here, and there’s currently 15% off hundreds of styles. Shoppers are rushing to get their hands on showstopping pieces while the offer is running, including a stunning gold dress that can be styled a number of ways this season.

The Gold Metallic Shift Dress is ‘selling like hot cakes’ according the Boden website, available for £118.15 down from £139 with the code: RHDT. This glamorous frock comes in regular sizes from four to 22, but due to its popularity, sizes four and six are currently sold out.

Made in a ‘flattering’ fit and flare shape, the Boden dress can be worn with either flats or heels. It’s cut from a ‘sparkly’ gold metallic fabric, with a black velvet belt at the waist. Finished with a hidden back zip, this shift style is designed to fall above the knee.

Gold is a popular shade in fashion over the festive season, thanks to its luxurious appearance and versatility. Now is the perfect time to add the elegant colour to wardrobes, especially with Boden’s dress currently on offer.

Shoppers can also save money on the Sequin Twist Front Stretch Dress from Roman. Available in gold, black or brown, the stunning style has 15% off when entering code CM15 at checkout, bringing its price down from £65 to £55.25. Crafted from a jersey material, this piece is said to be comfortable and stretchy.

The Gold Metallic Shift Dress is perfect for Christmas parties, with sizes ranging from four to 22.

For something even cheaper, the Dorothy Perkins Cape Sleeve Metallic Satin Dress comes in at £16.50 (was £55) at Debenhams. Offered in a midaxi length, the frock features cape sleeves for a ‘sophisticated’ shape, while a V-neckline frames the décolletage.

Boden’s Gold Metallic Shift Dress hasn’t received any reviews from shoppers yet, but there are comments for similar items on the website. One person said: “This dress is very well made. It shines, is very flattering and extremely comfortable.”

Another customer wrote: “Love – festive but not overly flashy, very flattering. I’m usually a 10, but sized down to an eight partly because of length (I’m 5’3″ and 10 looked a little too long, and gaped a little at the arm holes). If you’re bigger in the bust, you may need to stick with your regular size.”

However, Boden’s dresses haven’t completely impressed everyone. Someone else had sizing issues, sharing: “I followed the size guide and ordered an eight, which is pretty standard for me. It feels like I could have gone down a size, as it’s just a little bit looser than I would like it to be – even though I know it’s meant to have an A-line, shift silhouette. I can’t decide if it’s flattering.”

A second shopper gave a similar review, adding: “Sized down based on the other review. The fit is strange: the top is extremely tight (smashing my 34DDD chest), but the bottom is wide/loose even in a size smaller than my usual size. I love the print so I’m trying the skirt in this print instead.”
