The sound can be tuned further using the accompanying Soundcore app for Android and iOS, which lets users switch between 22 EQ presets, customise the controls, or make the earbuds emit a noise for easy location. The battery life is another highlight.

Anker says the earbuds last up to 10 hours per charge. The charging case extends that to 30 hours, and just 10 minutes of charging in the case provides around two hours of listening.

The Soundcore earbuds can also be used to take phone calls, with dual mics and AI voice enhancement. They’re IPX5 water-resistant too, so they are suitable for use in heavy rain.

For a little more money, shoppers could try the JBL Tune Beam 2 for £39.99, currently down from £79.99. Unlike the Anker P20i earbuds, these ones have active noise-cancelling to eliminate background ambience, and the brand says they last up to 10 hours (40 hours with the case).

Those wanting a more secure wear for exercise might opt for the JLab GO Air Sport wireless earbuds from Argos for £24.99. These buds have an integrated ear loop that keeps them safely in place, while the IP55 rating keeps out dirt and moisture during heavy workouts.

The Anker P20i wireless earbuds have rave reviews on Amazon, where they hold a 4.4/5 rating and nearly 80,000 reviews. One happy shopper said: “Really good sound quality for the price, decent bass levels, and not tinny.

“A good fit in the ears, and easy to pair up on a Samsung phone. Not once have they run out of battery on me, and that’s over a full work day.
