With reports Prince William was a “prime mover” in Prince Andrew’s decision to relinquish his titles, royal expert Jennie Bond believes future king is anxious over what choices he has to make about the future of the monarchy
After being plagued by scandals for years about his friendship with billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew has given up his royal titles after Prince William and King Charles held “crisis talks.
It is no secret in royal circles that the Prince of Wales is not thought to be fond of his disgraced uncle, recently giving him the cold shoulder when approached by Andrew at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral.
While the future king is believed to have been the driving force behind Andrew giving up his royal titles, many believe that Andrew may face even harsher punishment over his years of scandals when William ascends the throne.

And former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes that William would be furious with Andrew over his indiscretions and how the years of controversies have impacted the public reputation of the entire royal family.
She told the Mirror : “I think William was a prime mover in the decision to force Andrew to give up his titles. And there are reports, which I believe, that if necessary he will go much further when he is King. I think he is spitting blood about the way this whole scandal is tarnishing the wider royal family.
“How would you feel if you were born into this strange destiny, told you had to grow up to be King, spend your life doing the best you can given the platform you have, only for all your work to be obliterated by a scandal involving your uncle?”
Jennie reinforced the fact that William and Andrew have a very strained relationship, saying: “I don’t think there is any love lost between William and Andrew.” The royal expert also believes that both William and Charles would be “sorely disappointed” in Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
Along with Andrew’s association with Epstein, a recently revealed email sent from Fergie to the convicted sex offender shows that she called him a “supreme friend” despite his conviction, even after denouncing him in the media.
Jennie said: “Like the King, William had extended a hand of friendship and forgiveness to Sarah. But now it’s clear that she was still worshipping at Epstein‘s knee, calling him ‘a supreme friend’. William must regret that he and the King allowed her back into the family fold for private gatherings like Christmas.”
It is believed by many that William will work to completely sever ties with Andrew once he becomes King, as it has been alleged in The Times that William is not satisfied with the outcome so far of the so-called ‘Andrew problem’ and he will be banned “from all elements of royal life” when he is monarch, meaning he would not be able to attend either public or private royal events including the Coronation.
However, Jennie believes William will be faced with a difficult decision on what action to take against Andrew and Fergie when he ascends the throne, given his close relationship with his cousins Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
She said: “It’s a difficult situation for him because he is very fond of Beatrice and Eugenie, but if further action is needed against Andrew and Sarah, I think William will be the one to push for it. And I don’t think he and Catherine will relish the idea of the ex-Duke and ex-Duchess living so close by.”
