Boots shoppers can save on a designer aftershave that’s described as ‘an intense and spicy’ scent
Boots is selling an “incredible” designer aftershave for less than half price ahead of Father’s Day. The beauty giant has discounted BOSS Bottled Night Eau de Toilette 100ml from £86 to £40.50. The online-only deal saves shoppers over £45 on the popular scent.
With an average rating of 4.3 out of five, reviewers love the “wonderful blend of musky notes.” However, not everyone was enamoured by the scent, with others suggesting it smells “too heavy” and “needs to be toned down a bit.”
Shoppers might prefer Armani Stronger With You Intensely 150ml, on sale for £69 at Look Fantastic. Elsewhere, Versace’s Dylan Blue Eau de Toilette Spray 100ml is on sale for £38.99 at The Perfume Shop. Fragrance fans might also like Jo Malone London’s Cypress & Grapevine Cologne Intense (9ml), which is £24 from Harrods.

The aftershave has over 400 five-star reviews. One happy shopper said: “This perfume is amazing. I actually bought it for my husband for our anniversary first then ended up buying it for my dad too as he loved the fragrance.” A customer added: “Great value for money, a perfect gift! The smell is delicious.”
However, someone else replied: “My husband tried the Hugo Boss Night, I was not a fan. It was too heavy and overpowering for me. He said it was okay, but he wouldn’t wear this daily.”
A similar response read: “My husband actually tried this fragrance, and he did not care for it at all! The scent was much too strong and heavy for him.” A different shopper said: “Spray too much and you will be saying ‘goodnight’. I expected more from hugo boss… but not this much! Too pungent and needs to be toned down a bit. My husband sprayed himself once and boy it was way too much!”
An unhappy customer added: “My wife got me this perfume as a gift. It smells nice and the price is good, but the scent doesn’t last long. It typically lasts for around three hours. I suggest not spending your hard-earned money on something that doesn’t have long-lasting scent. Don’t buy it.”
But another wrote: “It’s incredible! I don’t think there has been a scent from Hugo Boss that I don’t like. Hugo Boss Night is a sensual, exciting night out type of scent! Have your guy wear this to excite your senses and make you want to hug him more!!!!”
Someone else praised: “A masculine fragrance that lasts the whole night! Boss Bottled Night is an element but intense and spicy scent full of seduction and character. A wonderful blend of musky notes makes this a perfect choice for those nights on the town or a romantic evening for two. A real head turner…for all the right reasons.
