Commuters are facing major disruption this afternoon as a sudden power outage has forced TfL to suspend several London Underground lines, as well as all Elizabeth Line services between Paddington and Abbey Wood.
Passengers have been evacuated from trains and platforms at Embankment and along the affected route, with reports of delays mounting across central London. Severe delays have also been reported across the Jubilee Line and the Northern Line is partly suspended due to the same issue. Transport for London also said the entire Bakerloo line and the Waterloo and City line have been suspended due to a “power failure”, but has yet to confirm the cause of the outage.
TfL currently reports: “No service between Paddington and Abbey Wood due to a power supply failure. GOOD SERVICE on the rest of the line”.
