Bag charms were the trend we didn’t see coming, and we were even more surprised to see Labubu toys becoming celebs like Olivia Attwood’s must-have accessory for summer
Every fashion lover knows that your accessories can make or break your outfit, but it seems like now even our accessories have accessories, as bag charms become the must-have summer trend. However the whimsical trend hasn’t stopped there, as they’ve taken on an even more youthful look thanks to the viral Labubu toys which have been spotted dangingling from designer bags around the world.
Olivia Attwood has become the most recent celebrity to accessorise her handbag with one of the dolls, showing off her powder blue Labubu bag charm on Instagram. Fans were quick to comment on the new accessory, writing: “Labubu mum gone wild” and “All i see now is Labubus”.
‘This linen co-ord is a must-buy for the heatwave – I’ve worn it everywhere from the office to drinks’
We didn’t expect Sofia Richie to team up with Amazon Essentials – but the matching sets are so good
Whilst Liv didn’t share where she bought her Labubu charm, a quick search led us straight to this UNIHYGGE Labubu Plush Keychain on Amazon, which you can pick up for a very affordable £17.17. An identical pale blue version of the charm Liv was wearing is still available, as are several other colours – seven, to be exact – including green, pink, black and brown versions.
That means not only can you copy Liv’s look without breaking the bank, but you can also nab yourself one to co-ordinate the handbag you plan on wearing it with, just like Liv did with her pale blue handbag. Each of the Labubu Plush Keychains has a snap-open ring at the top, which lets you hang it from your bag, keys, or belt loops.
They measure 17cm from the tip of the ears to toes, with an extra 3cm of hanging space, giving it some fun movement. Liv isn’t the only one whose been adding the Labubu Plush Keychain to their handbags though, as everyone from Dua Lipa to Blackpink and White Lotus star Lisa have been spotted accessorising with them.
The coveted Labubu Plush Keychain isn’t the only cuddly bag charm that’s trending, though. Jellycat has also launched its own version, which lets you pick up a bag charm sized version of some of its now-iconic plushies. High street brands have also jumped on the trend, like Urban Outfitters, which has a mini Miffy bag charm for £10.
Next have also launched its own version, with plenty of different designs available. For those who love a trend, this £8 plushy beige tumbler charm looks just like a Stanley cup, so you can nail two viral trends in one.
