Greggs is set to open seven new discount outlet stores this year. Greggs Outlet sells surplus food including sausage rolls and bakes at super cheap prices.
You can typically find discounts of up to 75% off – so for example, a four-pack of sausage rolls costs £1.85 in Greggs Outlet, which is 46p a sausage roll. You would normally pay around £4.35 for a four-pack of sausage rolls in a regular Greggs store. Greggs has 38 outlet stores.
The sausage roll chain originally wanted to increase this number to 50 in 2025, but it is now aiming for 45 stores. A spokesperson from Greggs told The Sun: “We’re delighted to be on track with the majority of our targets and remain committed to evolving our initiatives.”
Greggs has not revealed the locations for its new Greggs Outlet stores. It comes after the bakery chain gave its menu a major shake-up last month, including the launch of its new new Veggie Feast Pizza.
The pizza has a focaccia-style base and is topped with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, sweetcorn, mixed peppers, and red onions. It costs £2.40 for one slice, £7.95 for a four slice box and £9.95 for a six slice box.
Greggs has also brought back its BLT sandwich and Tuna Crunch Roll. The BLT consists of sweetcure bacon, salad leaves, tomato and mayonnaise in malted brown bread, while the Tuna Crunch sees tuna mixed with red pepper relish, mayonnaise, and red onion packed into a white and wholemeal roll with salad leaves.
The BLT will set you back £2.75 on its own, or at £3.85 with any regular hot drink or cold drink. The Tuna Roll sits at £3.25 on its own or £3.85 under the lunchtime meal deal offer.
These new menu items are available in all Greggs stores nationwide. Greggs has also introduced two new iced drinks with its new Peach Iced Tea and a Mint Lemonade – although these will only be available in selected branches.
The Peach Iced Tea contains peach flavour syrup with sweetener and tea extract, and the Mint Lemonade consists of mint flavour lemonade with sugar and sweetener – both of which are served over ice. For the drinks, prices start at £2.55, and £2.50 respectively.
Peri Peri Chicken Pasta has also made a comeback. Consisting of Piri Piri chicken breast slices and a spicy mayo-style dressing, the beloved lunchtime staple will set you back £3.35.
