If you need a reminder that a SKIMS bodysuit is your spring wardrobe’s missing piece, Millie Court is here to give it
When Kim Kardashian first created SKIMS, we’re not sure anyone would have predicted it to be the phenomenon it is today. Unlike other celebrity brands, it isn’t just popular because of the founder’s name, but rather for its un-duppable body sculpting abilities. When you buy a SKIMS piece, you know you’re getting quality and results – which can’t be said for everything you order online these days.
So if you’ve been eyeing up a piece for your own wardrobe, former Love Island winner Millie Court (of Millie and Liam) might just give you the nudge you need to add a SKIMS item to your basket because she’s proving why a classic bodysuit is the spring essential you need.
Posing for new social media snaps, the 29 year old wears SKIMS’s Unlined Plunge Bodysuit in a neutral tone. It’ll set you back £86 on SKIMS’ website, but pretty much all of the reviewers who have made the purchase say it’s worth the price. Millie herself proves what the piece can do for your waist and cleavage.
If you’re after something that’s comfy but still makes you feel put-together, the SKIMS Body Unlined Plunge Thong Bodysuit in Sienna ticks all the boxes. It’s got a flattering plunge neckline that gives just the right amount of shape without any padding, and the adjustable straps can be worn straight or crossed at the back – super handy depending on what you’re wearing over it. The thong cut means no annoying lines under jeans or skirts, and there’s a snap closure at the bottom which makes life a bit easier.
The fabric’s a soft cotton blend with a nice bit of stretch, so it moves with you and still feels snug in all the right places. The Sienna colour is warm and really wearable – it looks great on its own or layered under something sheer. It’s true to size but if you want a bit more hold, going a size down works well too. Whether you’re dressing it up or just chucking it on with joggers, it’s one of those pieces that ends up on heavy rotation without much thought.

Millie wears her bodysuit paired with casual jeans and some statement sunglasses. Copy her style by throw on a denim or faux leather oversized jacket for a perfect spring/summer outfit you’ll get complimented on every time you go out. Some of the shades that the Unlined Plunge Bodysuit comes in are going out of stock fast, but there seems to be enough left in Sienna and Clay colourways. If you’re shopping for a size L-4x XL, you can grab Millie’s Jasper shade while the stock lasts (likely not for long).
So what makes a SKIMS bodysuit better than others? Repeat shoppers have some thoughts…
SKIMS Unlined Plunge Bodysuit
It features unlined cups to flatter your bust, adjustable back straps that you can wear cross back, and a bottom gusset with snap closure.
One writes: “This is the holy grail of bodysuits. I’ve purchased pretty much every type from Skims and have definitely loved some more than others but have found that nothing snatches like the OG one until now! This bodysuit feels like butter and is so sexy in a way the OG just isn’t. Plus what it does to my chest! And it snatches me so much that I had to go down a size in my jeans in order to wear it and get the tight look I wanted. This cocoa colour is also gorgeous. I loved this so much I quickly order 2 more colors.”
Another says: “This bodysuit is amazing! It’s smoothing and very flattering. It can be worn by itself or under clothing. I wore it with the Skims Body leggings and together it looked like a catsuit. The straps are detachable in the back so I crisscrossed the straps for extra support. My only complaint is it smashes your boobs a bit, but other than that I love it. I’m 5’1 113 and got an XS so I would say it’s pretty much true to size.”
“I love these body suits! They fit great and I bought them in multiple colors. I’m 5”4 158 pounds and got a large. I get a ton of compliments on them,” pens a third.
A few people do say to size up, however. So if you’re stuck between two different sizes, it may be a good idea to opt for the slightly larger one.
As we say, the quality of SKIMS means it’s hard for more affordable brands to offer similar alternatives, but Amazon’s YIANNA Bodysuit Shapewear, £22.49, has good reviews from those who wanted shapewear without the hefty price tag.
