An elderly man driving a mobility scooter was killed when he was hit by a car as he crossed a road.
Sussex Police were called to the B2102 Bell Farm Road, near Uckfield on Saturday at around 1.45pm after reports of a collision. The 105-year-old man was hit by a blue Ford KA as he crossed the road aboard his mobility scooter. Paramedics and police attended but he was tragically pronounced dead and his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers in the wake of the accident.
