Mirror’s shopping writer Grace swears by Erborian’s anti-redness cream to even out the skin and blur pores, and the K-Beauty product has had a £12 price cut in Amazon’s Spring Sales
If you suffer from skin redness or sensitivity and are looking for the perfect product to even out your skin tone, we’ve got just the one. And to make it even better, it’s currently on sale during Amazon Spring Deal Days.
Erborian’s CC Red Correct with Centella Asiatica is currently reduced from £41 down to £29 – that’s a huge 24% off. This handy K-Beauty cream doubles up a both a primer and CC cream, and is currently my go-to base product. I don’t have severe redness or rosacea, but my skin tone has a natural reddish/pink tinge to it.
So when I tried out this CC cream, I was so happy to have finally found a lightweight product that successfully evens out my skin without feeling too heavy.
CC creams (also known as colour-correcting creams) are formulated to correct your skin tone anyway. However, I haven’t had as much luck with other ones as I have with this anti-redness one from Erborian.
Stanley’s ‘leakproof’ water bottle that keeps drinks cold ‘all day long’ is reduced to £25
Kérastase’s salicylic acid treatment got rid of my hairline dandruff–and it’s on sale’
PROS
- Actually corrects redness and evens the skin tone
- Leaves a poreless, blurring effect
- Lightweight
- Has SPF 25
- Can be used on its own or as a base under foundation
CONS
- Low coverage (not a con for me, but if you like full coverage, this alone won’t be enough)
- If you’re very pale with cool undertones, this may appear too orange
Formulated with Centella Asiatica, glycerin and UV filters, this moisturising and hydrating CC cream not only evens out redness but provides real skincare benefits.
I now reach for this product almost every day, cementing it as a staple in my makeup. I love using it alone when I’m working from home and want to make myself feel a little more presentable.
Equally, I think this CC cream works amazingly underneath foundations or skin tints. It blurs my pores and removes any redness so I can apply my foundation to a neutral base.
I struggled to find any cons with this product. The only issue could be the shade match. The cream comes out green and adapts to the skin tone (thanks to the encapsulated pigments), but I think if you are extremely pale, even the lightest shade could show up slightly too dark or orange.
Alternatively, L’Oréal’s C’est Magic CC Cream Anti-Redness, currently £9.59, is loved by shoppers. This lightweight CC cream helps to correct and neutralise redness, leaving you with a flawless-looking complexion.
We also have just the product if you are looking for a glow-enhancing CC cream. IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Nude Glow, currently £29.95, is packed full of niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, green tea extract and SPF 40, helping to give you a healthy, natural glow straight after use and beyond.
