Police have rushed to a South Yorkshire school following a major violent brawl that forced a lockdown this afternoon.
Shock video footage has shown the moment police burst onto the grounds of Doncaster College in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, after it was shut down earlier today. Police officers can be seen directing two people to get on their knees with their hands behind their heads, with the two complying before two other offers rush to restrain them. The two are wrestled to the ground while people watch on from the school building, with the video capturing the dramatic events from high above the scene.
South Yorkshire Police said in a statement that officers were deployed to the college this afternoon where they “detained four males” following “reports of an altercation”.

A spokesperson for the service said: “Officers have been deployed to Doncaster College where they have detained four males following reports of an altercation between a group of males.
“We were called at 12.37pm today (Wednesday 19 March) to the college on Chappell Drive. One person has suffered a minor hand injury. No other injuries have been reported.”
“The college has been evacuated as a precaution to allow for a full search of the site to ensure it is safe before any staff or students return.
“Officers remain at the scene to carry out further enquiries and to reassure staff, students, and the local community. We will provide further updates as and when we can.”
