The Primark bag is very similar to the much more expensive version from Mint Velvet
Primark is stocking a bag that bears a striking resemblance to a pricier alternative. Known for its affordable fashion and homeware, the high street giant may have just introduced a new crowd-pleaser.
The retailer’s The Edit Suede Extra Large Shopper Bag looks similar to a style by brand Mint Velvet, but at a fraction of the cost. Shoppers can snag the Primark version for £30, while the Mint Velvet Brown Oversized Chocolate Brown Suede Tote Bag is priced at £150 online at Next.
The bags are very similar, with a suede finish and a shopper bag-style, as well as a structured shape. They also both have shoulder straps and feature gold-tone hardware.
Both bags are also made with 100% leather and are lined inside. However, the more expensive version also features leather patches on each corner of the base and leather straps, while the Primark straps are suede.
Primark’s product description of The Edit Suede Extra Large Shopper Bag reads: “A stylish extra large shopper bag made from suede.”
The Primark bag retails for £30, while the Mint Velvet Brown Oversized Chocolate Brown Suede Tote Bag comes in at £150. This means shoppers could save around £120 by opting for the bargain version.

Primark also recently launched new ‘wardrobe essentials’ – a range of £4.50 cropped t-shirts. The cropped t-shirts were shared online, including a white tee with a black cherry design, a green top labelled ‘In My Matcha Era’, and a cream option adorned with a teddy bear labelled ‘completely unhinged.’
