Beauty shoppers can snap up the ‘gorgeous’ fragrance for a bargain price that “gets lots of compliments”
A ‘stunning’ designer perfume, known for its ‘breathtaking’ aroma that never fails to ‘turn heads’, has seen a significant price drop. Debenhams has generously discounted the ‘exquisite’ scent as part of its online beauty sale.
Now is the perfect opportunity to grab a bargain for yourself or secure an early Mother’s Day gift. The retailer has slashed the price of Lancôme’s La Vie est Belle Eau de Parfum, making it more accessible for beauty enthusiasts.
Customers can now purchase a 30ml bottle for just £48, down from its original price of £69. The colossal 150ml bottle, usually priced at £160, has also been reduced to £128. The 50ml bottle has dropped from £97 to £67, and the 100ml option is now available for £88 instead of £127.
The Eau de Parfum La Vie Est Belle was crafted for Lancôme by some of France’s “most renowned perfumers” – Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion. For Dominique, La vie est belle is the most identifiable perfume globally, stating: “When you smell La vie est belle on the street, there is no hesitation on whether this is La vie est belle or another fragrance. Its identity is obvious and instant.”
Anne Flipo describes La vie est belle as an olfactory smile, designed to be “delicious”. The fragrance features a “powerful trail”, with notes of iris, patchouli, and an “enticing” vanilla blend, culminating in the “perfect scent of happiness”, reports the Manchester Evening News.
On Debenhams’ website, La Vie Est Belle boasts a stellar customer rating of 4.8 stars out of five, based on over 3,300 reviews. One satisfied customer gushed in their five-star review, “Beautiful smelling, long-lasting perfume that turns heads.”
Another fan enthused: “Love the brand, the fragrance, the bottle and for years I am a big fan. Not too strong, but noticeable, gentle. Very stylish smell and classic bottle.” A third shopper praised: “A lovely perfume and great value for money amazing.”
A fourth chimed in: “My go to favourite, I get loads of compliments when I wear it.” One bargain hunter noted: “This was a steal at £126 for a 150ml, the same size in Boots is £160. A no brainer.” Another happy customer wrote: “Best price that I could find. With free delivery too. Can’t fault, very happy.”
However, not all reviews were glowing. One disgruntled shopper claimed the formula has changed, writing: “I live in this perfume since it was introduced to me… I do not feel properly dressed without La vie est belle. However, I recently bought a new bottle and I am disappointed, the concentration appears more diluted and the smell does not last long.”
Another echoed: “This used to be my go to perfume but sadly the formula has changed. This now lasts a max of 30 mins on your skin- save your money.” A third said: “This used to be my go to perfume but now is very very weak. It’s lasts about 15 mins!”.
Meanwhile, a 30ml bottle of Lancôme’s La Vie Est Belle can be snapped up at Boots for £53.60. Over at Superdrug, the same size is available for a slightly cheaper £45.60.
Another fragrance from Lancôme, La Vie Est Belle Rose Extraordinaire Eau de Parfum, is currently retailing for £98 on Amazon. If you’re after other potent floral scents, Luminate is an option, priced at £14 for a 50ml bottle. Dior’s Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is also available for £61.20 at Sephora.
