The Amazfit Active Smart Watch can be used with iOS and Android devices for a fraction of the price of Apple and Samsung rivals
Amazon shoppers are raving about a smart watch and fitness tracker that’s 20% off in a new tech deal. The retailer has reduced the Amazfit Active 42mm Smart Watch to £79.49, a drop of £19.51 from the usual £99.
The deal is for the Midnight Black model, with prices ranging from £80.99 to £92.06 for the Petal Pink and Lavender Purple editions. The Bluetooth smart watch is compatible with both Apple iOS and Android devices and can be used to make and answer phone calls and send and receive messages via text and WhatsApp.
Other functions include controlling music playback, checking the weather and monitoring health and fitness with a variety of trackers like steps, heart rate and sleep. Fitness fanatics can track more than 120 sports modes including running, swimming and yoga and see sports data in real-time.

The gadget boasts a 1.75” HD AMOLED screen that can be customised with more than 100 watch face options and a battery that can run for up to 14 days – or 30 days in battery saver mode. It also features Amazon Alexa voice control, which can handle a range of tasks like answering questions and translating hands-free.
At less than £80, the Amazfit Active is a great budget-friendly option to premium rivals like the Apple Watch Series 10 or Samsung Galaxy Watch7, which Amazon lists for £382 and £289 respectively. For shoppers interested in these higher-end models, it’s worth checking out Sky Mobile’s deals, as the provider offers the Apple Series 10 and Galaxy Watch7 for £13 and £10 when spreading the cost.
The Amazfit Active 42mm Smart Watch has achieved a 4.2-star rating after more than 800 reviews, 82% of which are four or five stars. One happy customer said: “Fantastic watch. Great battery life for up to 14 days unlike other brands. Clear, responsive screen that is a perfect size. Every fitness activity is covered to use [and] the strap is firm but feels good when on the arm. Easy setup – just scan the code on your phone, download the app and put in your details like weight/height etc. Overall [an] extremely nice watch that does it all at a reasonable price and does it well.”
Another said: “I never write reviews but I think this deserves one. This watch has great features for health tracking, is comfortable and has an amazing battery life. I charge it once every two to three weeks – fine to wear in the shower too. Would certainly recommend.”
A third user said: “Really impressed with the Amazfit Active watch, having been used to a Fitbit Versa2. It seems more accurate on footsteps. I no longer find that I have walked a mile between bedroom and breakfast. Comfortable, very clear face and, important to me, it receives messages, emails and WhatsApps more reliably than the Fitbit and for half the price.”
However, not everyone is impressed with the Amazfit watch, as one user noted its step counter is ‘incorrect’. They said: “Although it’s a nice watch, I used it for my step count. To see how accurate it was I kept my old watch on as well as my phone and it was saying I [did] at least 4,000 steps less than my old watch and phone.”
