Dr Pepper has launched a limited edition flavour in the UK which has already hit supermarkets, while some fans can’t wait to get their hands on them, others have said it’s a ‘game-changer’
Dr Pepper fans can’t wait to get their hands on a limited edition flavour of the soft drink, which has been released just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Predating even Coca Cola and Pepsi, Dr Pepper was created in the 1885 in America by pharmacist Charles Alderton, who advertised it as a drink that “aided digestion” and restored “vim, vigour and vitality”. Today it’s marketed as having a “taste you can’t quite put your finger on”, but is supposed to be a blend of 23 flavours.
And now Dr Pepper has launched a brand new “fruity and refreshing limited edition Dr Pepper” in the UK – Dr Pepper Cherry Crush Zero Sugar. Available in stores from January 29, it’s offers a “twist on the original Dr Pepper Zero Sugar”, and has a “zingy flavour of cherry”.
It’s supposed to be a “sweet but complicated, unforgettable flavour that will have you falling head over heels for it”. Dr Pepper is hoping the limited-edition flavour will make for a “perfect Valentine’s Day pairing this February”.
Taking to Instagram to share the news, UKSnackAttack shared that “Cherry Crush Dr Pepper is coming to the UK” – and it was clear people were excited. “Omg yes,” said one person. “I’m actually drinking a can in the uk now and it’s decent,” shared another.
And some have already managed to get their hands on it, and were big fans. One person shared on X: “Dr Pepper Cherry Crush is the absolute one btw, 10/10.” Another said: “That Dr Pepper cherry crush is a game changer.”
It was also shared by NewFoodsUK on Instagram, and one person said: “I had this today and I think the cherry flavour is so strong.” “I want this,” said another.

Dr Pepper Cherry Crush Zero Sugar is now available at all major retailers nationwide in 330ml, 500ml 2l and 8x330ml formats.
