A small number of packs of Goodfella’s Stonebaked Thin Garlic Bread have accidentally been packed with a garlic bread that contains cheese
Birds Eye has urgently recalled Goodfella’s Stonebaked Thin Garlic Bread over fears it could spark an allergic reaction.
A small number of packs have accidentally been packed with a garlic bread that contains cheese – which means they pose a health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk. The affected food was only sold in Co-op stores and has the batch code 5020 and best before date of December 2025.
If you have purchased on the these, and you have an intolerance to milk, you should return it to the store where you bought it from for a full refund. Alternatively, you can take a photo of the batch code and send it to https://contactus.goodfellaspizzas.com/s/. You can also cut out the part of the box that shows the batch code and send it to: Birds Eye Limited Freepost, ADM3939, London, SW1A 1YS.
In a statement, Birds Eye said: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.” No other packs of Goodfella’s Stonebaked Thin Garlic Bread are included in the recall.
For all product recalls, you can check the Food Standards Agency and Chartered Trading Standards Institute websites. You should also notice recall notices in stores if they’ve pulled a product from shelves. Other recalls you should be aware of include Marks and Spencer pulling some chicken products over fears they could be contaminated with salmonella.
The recall notice only applies to Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland stores, and relates to M&S Southern Fried Chicken Burgers and 2x Chicken Kievs. The use by dates for the chicken burgers that are included in the recall are January 26, 2025, January 30, 2025, January 31, 2025 and February 1, 2025, while the barcode number is 29147168.
The use by date for the chicken kievs is January 26, 2025 and the barcode number is 00003063. Heineken UK has also recalled bottles of its Newcastle Brown Ale from shelves over fears they could contain shards of glass. The bottles that are included in the recall are 550ml in size and have a best before date of November 30, 2025. The batch codes to look out for are: L4321, L4322, L4323, L4324, L4325, L4326.
TriOn Pharma has also issued a warning about its Aactive D3 Drops and Aactive D3 Solution because of the labelling error. Too much vitamin D can cause nausea, vomiting, weakness, lethargy, constipation, aches and pains, thirst, polyuria, weight loss and cardiac dysrhythmias, which is an abnormal heartbeat.
