Homeowners looking to spruce up their living rooms and bedrooms have been “running” to Primark for the new items
Shoppers who like H&M Home’s style may want to visit their nearest Primark. The budget high-street store has updated its homeware range, and some pieces could easily rival H&M Home.
Several items could be mistaken for H&M’s signature aesthetic at a glance, minus the hefty price tag. On TikTok, a customer called Joanne Welsh uploaded a video of all the new items she found at her local Primark.
In the caption, she wrote: “@Primark home new in… wow!” One viewer called Isabella tagged a friend and said: “Wooden diffuser and decor for your bathroom!!!!” The mate responded back saying: “Me running to Primark.”
Tina said: “I got some soft mink pillows £4 each.” However, some seemingly haven’t seen the new range arrive in their local store yet. Emms added: “Whatttt my Primark must be brokennnnn.” Another wrote: “My primark isnt primarking I think.”
The clip featured a sandalwood and oud room spray, which comes in a ‘sophisticated’ brown glass bottle with a wooden top. It is priced at £5 and looks similar to H&M Home’s Amber Oud Room Spray, which also comes in a brown bottle – but its costs a few pounds more at £12.99.
Joanne also included a view of Primark’s Tassel Trim Large Plush Throw – which is priced at £12 and comes in four different colours – including cream, taupe, green and brown. You could fool visitors by saying the throw is from H&M as it looks similar to the brand’s wool-blend blanket, which costs £25 and is also available in cream, taupe, green and brown.
Primark is also selling a Scalloped Gold-Tone Detail Dinner Plate. The kitchen dish is described as a “pretty dinner plate”, with its scalloped margins and “elegant” gold-toned edges. Primark adds: “Perfect for bringing a luxurious feel to your table setting.”
H&M Home is also offering customers a white porcelain plate that features a scallop design and gold edges. However, it costs £9.99, compared to Primark’s version, which is £6.
However, besides the price, there are a few differences still between H&M’s range and Primark’s – for example, quality. H&M’s wool-blend blanket is priced more than Primark’s ‘lookalike’ version because it is made from a more expensive fabric.
Other standout items in Primark’s latest homeware collection include this gold Art Deco Mirror, which looks more expensive than its £14 price tag. There’s also this Large Scalloped Vase for £10 that could rival something from The White Company.
