The Galaxy brand is offering the ultimate upgrade on its newest Galaxy Watch Ultra
Anyone who’s been adding up the cost of a brand new smartwatch to see them kickstart their 2025 fitness goals will know that the flagship Apple, Galaxy Watch and Google Pixel models don’t come cheap – until now. Samsung has launched a hard-to-match offer on its Galaxy Watch Ultra model – as it knocks £200 off the price for these shoppers.
You’ll be given a huge multi-hundred-pound discount to put towards buying the Bluetooth + 4G model, but only if you have an older watch to hand in. In exchange for your old set, which doesn’t have to be a Samsung one, you can knock the price down to £299 instead of the usual £499 rate.
It’s one of the best deals around, it only takes a quick look at Amazon and Curry’s £499 prices. Retailer’s LaptopsDirect is, however, offering the 47mm titanium white model for a cheaper £379 upfront price, but there is no trade-in deal – so only one for shoppers who don’t have an old watch to hand over.

‘Our shopping team tried Majority Audio’s answer to affordable earphones – here’s why we rate them’
The deal is available on all three 47mm titanium designs – that’s the grey, silver and white. At first, it’s not easy to spot the trade-in price, but all shoppers need to do is ignore the £499 rate and scroll down to the ‘Want up to £200 off?’ window.
It’s here where you’ll find a new price depending on the older model you have to hand in, and a reason why our team raves about it – is that it’s not restricted to Samsung models, and there’s a huge selection of options.
Anyone handing in a 49mm Apple Watch Ultra would get the full £200 discount, there’s up to £170 for Apple Watch Series 8, and even an extra £102 discount for anyone with an old Apple Watch Series 2. Garmin’s on the list, too, with Forerunner 935 traders cutting as much as £110 off, while there’s a smaller £105 discount for anyone ditching a Galaxy Watch 3.
Of course, even the £200 trade-in discount still makes a £299 Galaxy Watch Ultra out of budget from some shoppers. If that’s you and you’re looking for a model that tracks simple yet effective fitness stats, the £49 Galaxy Fit3 could be a good option. There’s also a slight £2 discount on this Fit 3 at Amazon.
If you want to know how the Ultra model differs from Samsung’s standard Galaxy Watch model, then we’ve done a quick roundup of the specs. To start, it’s worth noting that this boosted model is speedier and comes in a more withstanding titanium design – as opposed to the aluminium on the Galaxy Watch 7.
