This iconic make-up brand has just launched a skin-brightening eye cream and it’s already proving to be a hit with shoppers – and here’s where it’s currently cheapest to buy
Using one of the best eye creams can not only help to tackle common skin concerns in the area of the face, including dark circles, fine lines and puffiness, but can also make your make-up look and perform better. And shoppers think they’ve found a great new one that really delivers results.
Much-loved make-up brand MAC has added to its Hyper Real skincare line with the launch of the new Hyper Real Serumizer Eye, a hydrating and brightening eye cream with tests that show a reduction in dark circles by 32% after using it for 12 weeks. It’s priced at £45 from MAC’s own website as well as other retailers such as Lookfantastic and Selfridges – but the cheapest you can currently find it is with 20% off at Debenhams, taking it down to £36.

An extension of MAC’s Hyper Real Serumizer range, which also includes Fresh Canvas Cream-To-Foam Cleanser, £30, Serumizer Skin-Balancing Hydration Serum, £60, and SkinCanvas Balm Moisturizing Cream, £52, this new eye cream contains Japanese peony extract, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and ceramides to deliver results both instantly and over time.
In MAC’s tests, 93% of users said this product left their skin looking more radiant, while 93% also said make-up applied smoothly on top.
It’s the customer reviews that really brought this to our attention though, with almost 400 five star ones on the MAC website alone, with shoppers praising its ability to make the skin around the eyes looks brighter, fresher and younger.
“This eye cream is my new favourite eye cream. Now that I’m in my 30s I have been having more age lines show up on my face and eyes. This eye cream brightens and plumps my eyes up so they look more youthful,” one reads. “My eye make-up also stays in place longer with this eye cream which I love! You can visibly see a difference before and after using this eye cream. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody.”
Another agreed: “This eye serum is a new favourite of mine! It’s lightweight and absorbs quickly into my skin. I love how hydrating it is. It gives my eyes an instant boost by improving the look of my skin. After nearly a month of use, I can see a noticeable difference in the fine lines around my eyes – they’re hardly visible now!”
“I was very amazed that it got rid of my dark circles cause from wearing glasses. Very smooth and radiant. I absolutely love it,” a third happy shopper wrote.
Not everyone saw quick results though, with one person writing, “I haven’t seen any improvement in the under eye dark circle yet, but it left the skin under my eye moisturise and smooth.” Perhaps time will tell!
If you’re after more great eye cream suggestions, we always trust Medik8 products, and love its Crystal Retinal Ceramide Eye, available in three strengths and starting from £42.
Another popular skincare brand at the moment is Bubble, and it’s just launched the Star Dew Hydrating Eye Cream, £14, which is a good cheaper option if you’re after hydration without any strong active ingredients.
