The budget retailer confirmed the news earlier this week
Aldi shoppers across the UK should notice a significant change in stores and online – as of Monday, December 30. Ahead of January, the budget retailer is expanding a certain range.
Just in time for ‘Veganuary’, the month-long initiative where people cut out all meat, eggs, and dairy products, Aldi has announced it is launching its biggest ever plant-based range, with some items priced at just £1.49.
An Aldi spokesperson said: “Whether shoppers are looking to go fully plant based or make a couple of meat-free swaps, Aldi’s range of new and returning Plant Menu products has shoppers covered for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And with prices starting from just £1.49, there is a lot to like at Aldi this Veganuary.”
Among the variety of goods on offer include unique kimchi koftas, crispy tempura frickles (fried pickles), and a vegan substitute for ‘eggs’. Furthermore, Aldi is bringing back its popular ‘no smoked salmon’, meatless ‘no chicken’ smash burgers, and salt and pepper ‘no chicken’ kebabs.
On top of these delectable options, cheese aficionados can delight in a vegan cheese continental assortment, which boasts four dairy-free cheeses, alongside ‘no pepperoni’, ‘no chorizo’, and ‘no salami’ deli choices.
The entire selection will be available across the UK from December 30.
