If you’re after an alternative to high heels this festive season, I found the perfect pair of comfortable sparkly boots that go with all outfits – and they’ve just been reduced by £100
When it comes to the festive season, the constant parties and events often call for a pair of heels to complement your party outfits. But even the lowest and comfiest heels can be a nightmare for your feet, which is why this year I’m ditching my high heels in favour of something considerably more comfortable.
This year I’ve been reaching for my favourite pair of Terry de Havilland Dallas Black Cowboy Boots, which are perfect for adding a little bit of sparkle to your outfits whilst still looking after your feet. They give you a little bit of height and add a certain cool factor to any outfit, whilst still being comfortable to wear.
Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez love this shoulder bag and you can still get it before Christmas
New Look’s £20 silver bag looks just like £2.3k Bottega Veneta Jodie and it’s perfect for party season
Cowboy boots have been a major trend this year and they’re showing no signs of slowing down any time soon which makes them a great investment. They are a little pricey, and usually cost £350, however they’re now reduced in the Terry de Havilland sale by £100, slashing the price to £250 – and they’re worth every penny in my opinion.
The boots are made from a luxuriously soft and supple leather, which means no rubbing or awkward folds or creases that leave blisters, and they have a really wide leg shaft which is not only great for those with wider calves, but also means they’re super flattering and you can wear them with plenty of different outfits.
My favourite thing about the Dallas Cowboy Boots, though, is the subtle bit of sparkle up the front and back. It’s not an in your face, rhinestone-covered, glitzy kind of sparkle that means you can only really wear them in the evening. Instead its more light-catching textured glitter which adds a little bit of glamour whilst still being totally daytime appropriate.
Their slouchy oversize fit and classic western design also has a major cool factor which can instantly amp up any outfit. Whether you’re wearing them with simply skinny jeans, a satin midi skirt or a sparkly mini dress, they really do go with anything.
And, more than anything, they’re comfortable. The heel is low and blocky, which makes them sturdy and easy to walk in, and the leather material keeps them comfortable to wear all night, unlike tight strappy platforms or wobbly stilettos.
Although I know I’ll wear these constantly, there’s no denying that, even with the discounted price, they’re expensive. If your budget doesn’t stretch quite far enough for the Terry de Havilland Cowboy Boots, there are some other great options around.
All Saints’ Ria Sparkle Leather Boots are currently on sale down from £279 to £111 with sizes 4 to 8 still available. Rather than a cowboy boot, these have western elements combined with a heeled Chelsea boot, making them a more classic option.
They have a fixed cushion insole and elasticated panels on the side for easy, comfortable wearing, and are made from a sparkly leather that’s great for party season. They also have a pointed toe and chunky heel, making them easy to wear with anything from wide leg trousers to mini skirts.
For a more classically western look, these Lipsy Black Mid Heeled Zip Up Studded Western Ankle Boots are available for £79 from Next. Being made from faux suede, rather than real leather, helps keep the price tag more budget-friendly, and they have silver studded details and stitching for a classic western look.
