Scarf jumpers have become one of the chicest and smartest ways to stay warm this winter, and our fashion writer Faith has found some of the best ones to shop from £x
If there’s one thing you will never find missing from my wardrobe, it’s knitwear. From cardigans to jumpers and knitted dresses, I am all about a soft and cosy sweater to keep me warm in the winter.
However, sometimes just a jumper isn’t enough to keep the cold at bay, but what do you do when you’re indoors and can’t wear your hat/scarf/coat? Wear a scarf jumper, of course.
Scarf jumpers are the ultimate chic solution for when you wish you could stay bundled up but your surroundings won’t let you. Whether you’re sat in meetings at the office, out for a nice dinner or having drinks in a drafty pub, a scarf jumper gives you an extra layer of warmth whilst still looking effortlessly chic and stylish.

Fans race to buy Molly-Mae’s leather puffer jacket to help keep warm this winter
My favourite scarf jumper is one I happened to pick up second hand, and was originally from Mango. It has a detachable knitted bandana that can be knotted around your neck for a cosy accessory and easily removed if you start to get too warm.
Although my Mango version is no longer available (although it’s worth scanning resale sites if you want your own!), I have managed to track down some other gorgeous alternatives that I’ll definitely be adding to my winter wardrobe.
Mango Striped Cardigan Scarf, £59.99
Starting strong with another Mango find, this cardigan scarf combines a beautifully soft stripey cardigan with a matching narrow scarf which can be fully detached. It has a zip up front fastening, and is comes in a very on-trend red and brown colourway.
Arket Wool Scarf Jumper, £119
Available in both khaki and off white, this jumper is elegant and timeless, with a classic turtleneck design and oversized fit, finished off with a draped oversize scarf around the neck. It’s also made from 68% wool, so is extra warm and cosy.
Simply Be Black Jumper with Scarf, £42
An absolute wardrobe staple, you can’t go wrong with an all-black high neck jumper. The scarf can be completely removed from this Simply Be jumper, leaving you with a classic black knit, and you can even save 20% on it by using the code NOW20 , making it £33.60.
Debenhams Runway 1.8.1.8 Wool Blend Oversized Dress With Scarf, was £95 now £47.50
A great alternative to a jumper, this jumper dress from Debenhams is one of my favourite purchases. It creates an instant outfit with minimal effort required, and the scarf is fully detachable. It’s also now got 50% off in Debenhams’ early Black Friday sale.
Simply Be Black Blanket Stitch Maxi Scarf Coat, £85
Considering my love of scarf-affixed knitwear, it was only a matter of time before my coat collection got a similar addition, and this Maxi Scarf Coat from Simply Be was a must-buy. A full-length version of the jackets that have been spotted everywhere, it’s cosy and sophisticated looking. Plus, the NOW20 code works on this too, taking it to £68.
Khaki Scarf Detail Round Neck Jacket, was £63 now £49.60
If you prefer an edgier, more laid-back style, this khaki jacket from Simply Be has an effortlessly cool silhouette, with a rounded neckline and boxy shape, and comes with the added bonus of a removable matching scarf to give you some extra warmth.
