The high street retailer has launched a range of beauty edits containing big industry names like Fenty, Elemis, Sol De Janeiro and more
The recent sunshine has got us seriously excited for the warmer days ahead. Anew season in our midst also brings the need to switch up our skincare – should we so wish – for more lightweight formulas that can withstand the sun’s UV rays as well as heat.
With this in mind, high-street giant Boots has launched a range of brand new beauty boxes that have all bases covered from spring to summer, taking care of our skin, hair, body and scent.
Helping us save money on new products that we’ve been wanting to try or simply need to top up, some of these Boots edits are worth over £200 – yet cost less than £60. They’re perfect for beauty fans who want to test out some new formulas before investing in the full-price product.
These beauty boxes from Boots are such a treat as the products that aren’t quite right for us make ideal gifts for our loved ones. In the last few months, the beauty retailer has launched a handful of epic edits, but I’ve picked outthre e, which – in my opinion – are the best value. And it appears I’m not the only one as these boxes are selling fast.
Boots Mini Holiday Beauty Bag – £35, worth £139.81
When going away for a weekend city break or a week long trip to the sunshine, we don’t want to be taking our full sized favourite skincare and makeup products, in case – god forbid – they get lost, or taken off us for exceeding the ziplock bag limit many international airports still enforce.
This new beauty edit from Boots is an ideal selection of goodies that not only contains nine products (two of which are actually full sized), but also comes with a bag in which to house them all.
Covering all bases, this Boots Mini Holiday Beauty Bag is packed with skincare essentials that smooth, hydrate, treat and illuminate skin – First Aid Beauty, Nuxe, Mediheal, Bobbi Brown – lovely fragrances (Floral Street and Sol De Janeiro), some make-up gems from Fenty and Huda Beauty as well as a hair care protector from Philip Kingsley.
Having just launched, the box has received only a few comments on its contents, but they’re all glowing, with one user sharing: “I love every single thing in this bag. The mascara is amazing…. Truly one coat and it’s on…. Love both the perfume sprays ….. Lip gloss feels good and looks good. Gold oil pretty. All of it great. Well worth £35.”
“Really happy with this skincare bag. The mini products are all great quality and ideal for travel. For £35, it’s affordable and great value,” said another, while a third echoed: “Saw this fantastic offer, just what I needed for my holiday.”
Worth almost £140, it’s a brilliant bargain that essentially means every item inside costs just £3.80.

With summer holidays in our midst, Boots isn’t the only beauty retailer embracing the travel minis, as Lookfantastic’s The Travel Minis Edit is £35 and is a great alternative if the aforementioned products aren’t quite right. The Lookfantastic haul contains names like ESPA, Elemis, Ultrasun Olaplex and more.
Boots SPF & Skin Beauty Box – £49, worth £261.79
When getting ready for sunnier weather, one thing we all need to ensure we have is sun protection and skincare that is soothing and clarifying. This new beauty box from Boots is perfect for this and contains 12 products – nine of which are full size – that range from refreshing cleansers and awakening eye cream to SPF for the face and body.
Costing £49, each treat inside is essentially £4, which is pretty impressive seeing as one of the items inside, the Grown Alchemist Gentle Gel Facial Cleanser, retails typically at £33. This lightweight cleanser gently removes makeup and impurities – like SPF and dirt – without stripping the skin of moisture.
For suncare, the set includes the Shiseido Expert Sun Protector Lotion SPF50+ 50ml, which usually costs £21. Boasting an invisible, lightweight UV protective formula, the lotion has a protective veil that is strengthened by heat and water, and re-smoothes on its own. It’s made with skin nourishing ingredients like Safflower Extract, Seaweed Complex, combined with Licorice Root extract, NatureSurge Complex and Hypotaurine. It’s loved as it reportedly ‘protects the inner and outer skin layers against UVA and UVB’.
This isn’t the only sun protection in the pack either, as it also includes the Round Lab Birch Juice Sunscreen SPF50+ PA+ 50ml, Skin + Me Daily Moisturiser with SPF 50 Dry to Normal Skin, Rituals The Ritual of Karma Sun Protection Milky Spray SPF30, Elemis Pro-Collagen Skin Protection Fluid SPF50+ and Lancaster Sun Perfect Unifying Serum SPF50.
While these are mostly travel sized SPFs, many people who have snapped up this box have praised that ‘they are the perfect size for holidays’, with one shopper noting: “Lots of products in the box and great value. There are lots of SP50 products and they are the perfect size for holidays.”
Someone else remarked: “Wow amazing value for the products you receive! so far I only used few things but love them all so far. Definitely worth buying.”
While there are no negative reviews on the Boots website for the box thus far, the only thing missing, in my eyes, is some aloe-vera infused aftersun, for soothing any patches of skin that may have been missed and are tender as a result of sun burn. Although its moisturising creams will likely do that job.

Shoppers have been left ‘especially impressed’ by this beauty hail, with a 4.8 star rating from over 24 reviews. One five star review read: “I am a sucker for these boxes but especially impressed by this one. I’ve had it less than a week and have already tried loads of the products and loved them all. Especially love the rehab eye masks and the Zeroid cream which are helping me with some horrible hayfever symptoms. Great value for money and definitely 5 stars from me.”
Someone else noted: “I am a sucker for a beauty box and this is up there with one of the best. Such a great mix of hair care, makeup and skincare. Bought it as was cheaper to buy this for the 3 items I really wanted. Not tried them all yet but impressed with the NARS, dove and rehab patches. Can’t wait for the next one.”
Even though the vast majority of beauty fans loved the selection inside, one user wasn’t quite so keen on the repetitive nature of some products, remarking: “It’s okay but could be better. I buy most of the Beaty boxes and my fave thing is the variety but this one has a lot of similar things. Four different creams/lotion and two spf creams that’s 6 in total.”
That said, most users have loved the beauty edit, echoing this review that cited: “Every product is top notch.”
