As someone who writes about homeware, there’s little I enjoy more than dedicating an afternoon to popping into all my go-to retailers for a good rummage through their latest offerings. With spring now upon us, it felt like the perfect moment to explore the fresh homeware collections available at the Trafford Centre.
Next was my initial stop, and I was absolutely stunned by the sheer variety of gorgeous lamps they had on display. Truthfully, if my home had room for additional lighting, I’d have snapped up three new pieces on the spot, but I managed to exercise some self-control.
Following that, I made my way to Marks and Spencer, where I discovered homeware items with a distinctly Scandinavian feel. This Nordic aesthetic is incredibly fashionable right now as it marries practicality with pared-back design and warm cosiness, resulting in airy, tidy, and welcoming interiors.
H&M Home didn’t have masses that grabbed my attention during my visit, though one particular bedding collection struck me as absolutely perfect for the spring season. While the Trafford Centre doesn’t house an Anthropologie branch, I did pop into their St Ann’s shop a few days afterwards, so I’ve also featured some of my favourite finds from the US retailer below. While Dusk doesn’t operate any permanent shops in the UK, I did spot one of the brand’s lamps while I was out and about. During a recent meal at Gordon Ramsay’s Lucky Cat restaurant on King Street, I clocked what looks to be Dusk’s Zeta Mini LED Rechargeable Wireless Lamp, now £13 down from £19, perched on the table.
Another standout piece from Dusk that’s caught my eye is the Margot 200 Thread Count Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set, slashed to £30 from £50.
