Electrolytes were previously considered to be exclusive to athletes, but have quickly become one of the biggest wellness trends of 2026, with more people looking for ways to stay energised and hydrated throughout busy days. The formula contains no added sugar or artificial sweeteners, and is designed to fit easily into everyday routines whether that’s a morning workout, a mid-afternoon energy dip or simply staying on top of hydration during busy days.

Electrolyte support has also grown in popularity as more people take part in endurance and high-intensity activities, with sports such as Hyrox racing, marathon training, padel and strength training becoming increasingly mainstream. But it isn’t only athletes who may benefit from paying closer attention to electrolyte intake.

Sweating can increase for a variety of everyday reasons including stress, commuting, hormonal changes, pregnancy or illness, meaning hydration needs can vary far more than many people realise. For that reason, brands like Water Wealth come in extremely handy.

Boots launched their own brand of electrolytes this year and have become a personal favourite for myself. Another brand famed for their tasty flavours is Humantra. Shoppers can get 30 sachets of their limited edition Mango flavour for £42, working out at 71p per serving. While more expensive, there’s a wider range of flavours to choose from, while Water Wealth has just the one at present.
