A bargain hunter has hit the ‘jackpot’ as she bought the world’s cheapest mystery box – and is thrilled with her impressive haul as she shared her ‘gold’ online

Buying a mystery box is always a gamble as you never know what you’re going to get – but one woman has hit the “jackpot” with the ‘world’s cheapest’ box.

Savvy bargain hunter Becky took a chance when she spotted the “world’s cheapest mystery box” in a local charity shop – and decided to take a risk and see what was inside.

For just £2.50, Becky wasn’t at too much of a loss if it was a total flop – but to her surprise, she couldn’t believe what was inside. The box of gold contained jewellery, a mirror, a brand new mug, some bath products and lots more.

She could either choose a larger box for £5 of a smaller one for £2.50 and opted for the cheaper one. As she took to TikTok to document what was inside, with the help of her mum, Becky was thrilled as she unopened the box.

“My mum is gonna whack it open and we’re gonna see if it’s worth it,” she said. At the top were some Union Jack bunting, two black mirrors, two plastic wine glasses, two candles and a gravy boat.

But not everything was second hand as she dug deeper and came across a brand new Skinny Dip mug which was still in the box, a bangle bracelet which was also still boxed, and a sealed Soap & Glory bath bomb. There was also a small glass with bees on it, a phone charm, two yellow bowls, a water bottle, a yellow salad bowl and a mini Tupperware box.

She then came across another mug, some more mini mirrors, a keychain, a tea cup, brand new swimming goggles and a single knife. Becky finished off her impressive haul with a red vase, a small carry case and two photo frames.

She then wrote alongside the video: “Do you think this box was worth £2.50???” Fellow TikTokers shared their amazement at the amount she got for £2.50, as one person commented: “The first two mirrors are a jackpot,” while another added: “For £2.50! Cheaper than a meal deal.”

Others told her that if she sold every item for just £1 she’s still made money on the contents. A third chimed: “You done great with that well worth the money I’d of been happy with half of that.”
