TikToker shares hack for using grab handles inside car

A woman was left stunned when she discovered the ‘proper’ use for the grab handles in the car.

Jess has amassed a following of more than 250,000 people on her TikTok ( @jmac8781 ) for sharing ‘things you might not know’, like the meaning of different colour bristles on a toothbrush and how to remove juice stains. But this car-related hack has gone viral with more than 1.4 million views. The video starts with a person pulling down a car’s grab handle before flipping down a small catch inside. This catch holds the grab handle in place, making it easier to hang things up. Stunned, Jess rushes to her car to see whether it works in her car – and sure enough, it does.

We should point out that this might not work for every car, but it’s worth checking to see if your car’s handles do this too. Since being posted, the video has racked up more than 107,000 likes and 1,800 comments from people who were just as stunned as Jess. One person said: “THE THINGS TIKTOK TEACHES ME KNOWS NO BOUNDS.” Another wrote: “What the heck?!? 42 years of my existence!” A third commented: “Why don’t these things come with instructions!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh my life!!!!”

“I thought that it is for hanging shirt,” said someone else, echoing what many others thought. However, some people were left confused by the video, as one person said: “I didn’t know you could do this. Genuinely curious though. What do you use this for? I feel like I’m missing something.” This comes as a woman explained how to properly de-fog your headlights instantly using two items that you probably have hidden in your cupboards already.

Sharing the trick on Facebook, the Australian woman explained that with the help of toothpaste, baking powder and elbow grease she managed to completely clear her foggy headlights. All she did was combine the ingredients together and apply the mixture to the lights before giving it a good old scrub. Try it for yourself and let us know if it worked in the comments.
