A woman fell to her death in broad daylight from Park Plaza near Waterloo station in London yesterday.

A tent was out up and forensic services could be seen at the south side of Westminster Bridge following the incident around 4.05pm involving the 45-year-old woman. At least three medical vehicles from the London ambulance service and six police cars rushed to the scene.

Traffic congestion began to build up in the area, which was cordoned off, while buses were forced to divert their normal routes. A Met Police spokesperson confirmed: “Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene at the Park Plaza on Addington Street. Sadly, a 45-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Work is underway in an attempt to inform her next of kin. Enquiries continue, but the death is not being treated as suspicious. Roads have been reopened. A police cordon remains in place.”
