A woman who just turned 25 has discovered all the places you can get free things on your birthday – and she was blown away by the huge selection of treats you could get
If you’re not sure about how to celebrate your birthday, how about heading on a little tour of all the places you can pick up freebies?
Many places in the UK offer free items on your birthday – from free sweet treats to skincare – and usually all you have to do is sign up. And if you’re really efficient, and have done your research, you could go to multiple places to pick up all the freebies on offer.
This is exactly what TikTok content creator Shivani Khosla recently did on her 25th birthday. Shivani, who regularly posts videos on the video sharing platform, recently showed followers “all the things you can get for free on your birthday”.
First she stopped off at Hotel Chocolat, where you can get £5 off when you spend £5.01. Shivani found some ‘Slabs’ that cost £5.45 each, which meant she was able to get another one almost for free. You can sign up to receive Hotel Chocolat’s birthday gift on the website.
Next, Shivani headed to Greggs, where you “can get a free sweet treat on your birthday”, and she was so impressed by the epic selection you could get. She was told she could get any sweet item for free, so opted for a jam doughnut, which would have cost 95p. You can grab the free sweet treat by signing up to the Greggs app.
Then the birthday girl headed to Gail’s, where she could pick anything sweet from the counter. She picked a blueberry muffin, which she ‘loves’. You can get a Gail’s birthday treat by joining the loyalty scheme.
Shivani also explained you can get a free birthday gift from Rituals when you become a member, which she thinks is a ‘body scrub’. She also informed you can get a box of chocolates from Lindt. On the Lindt website it says you can get a free birthday gift by joining the MyLindt Rewards scheme.
A lot of people might already know about Krispy Kreme’s birthday offering, which consists of a free donut. Shivani picked up a Chocolate Sprinkles one, which you can get by joining Krispy Kreme rewards.
You can also get a Subway gift by joining their rewards scheme, as well as a birthday treat at Ole & Steen by downloading the app. Shivani also said she thinks you can get something from Caffè Nero, but she didn’t receive a voucher when she tried, so recommends signing up well in advance.
Followers were very happy to get tips on how to spend their birthday, and some shared other places you can go. One person wrote: “You get cake for Costa as well, for your birthday.” Another added: “For Nando’s you get a free dessert.”
