Mikel Arteta’s side are in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals for the first time in 16 years as they host Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates Stadium tonight

Arsenal can move one step closer to history on Tuesday as they face Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final. The Gunners host the French champions at the Emirates and fans can watch the game for free.

Mikel Arteta’s side go into the game on the back of a 5-1 aggregate win over Real Madrid, in which they stunned the 15-time European champions across both quarter-final legs. Declan Rice secured the headlines after the first game with two spectacular free kicks, while Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli found the net in the second leg to send Madrid packing.

Victory over PSG would mark Arsenal’s first time in the final since 2006, when they were beaten 2-1 by Barcelona. Despite missing out on Premier League glory this season, Arsenal have impressed in Europe and are now the favourites to lift the Champions League trophy, but first they have to get past PSG.

Arsenal have already beaten The Parisians this season with a 2-0 win in October, during the opening phase of the competition in which PSG somewhat underperformed. But since the turn of the year, PSG has won 23 of their 27 games, which includes eliminating Liverpool and Aston Villa from the Champions League.

Ahead of the game, Arteta said tonight’s clash will be one of the biggest games in Emirates history. He said: “We need to show mental strength, desire, commitment and energy during our preparations and ahead of the first minute. It’s going to be one of the biggest games the Emirates has seen in its history and we want to put on a special show.”

The two teams will meet again on May 7 at the Parc des Princes, with the winner after two legs securing their spot in the final. Unlike most Champions League fixtures, tonight’s game will not be broadcast on TNT Sports, but there is a way to watch the game completely free.

When is Arsenal vs PSG?

Arsenal vs PSG is scheduled to kick off at 8pm, with Gabby Logan leading the coverage from 6.30pm alongside Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge, Clarence Seedorf and Theo Walcott. Commentary comes from Jon Champion and Alan Shearer.
