Pub giant Wetherspoons has grown the number of boozers on Haven holiday parks to nine – and they are expected to serve one million pints this year
Wetherspoons will open three new pubs in the space of a week – including two on the same day – in time for the Easter holidays.
The pub giant’s expansion – the most it has ever opened in one go – comes through a tie-up with holiday park chain Haven.
The first of the trio will be The Springfield, which will begin serving punters on Tuesday (31st) at Haven’s Cala Gran site near Blackpool. The boozer has capacity for around 600 customers and is the biggest of the three.
Just three days later, on Friday, will see The White Clover open at Haven’s Hopton park in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, as well as The Bluff, at the Riviere Sands site at Hayle, Cornwall.

With the latest editions, Wetherspoons will have a total of nine pubs on Haven parks around the country. And all of them combined are expected to serve a whopping one million pints this year.
The collaboraton with Haven is part of Wetherspoons’ – known as Spoons to its army of fans – plans to work with other operators to grow the chain, both in the UK and abroad.
Last week saw the firm announce plans to open another two pubs in Spain – both in the same airport. The chain confirmed the two venues at different terminals at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona – El Prat airport. It follows on the opening of the company’s first pub in Spain – and first in continental Europe – at Alicante Airport last month.
As in most Spoons, the new pubs will have trademark specially designed carpet.
In the case of The Springfield – named after Springfield House, which stood on the site of the park’s current main entrance in the 1960s – it features a glass-domed ceiling motif of the Marine Hall in Fleetwood. The White Clover – inspired by the white clover flower widely grown across Norfolk and traditionally associated with good luck – has a carpet design with coastal surroundings. And The Bluff – the name refers to the steep cliff edge on which the venue sits – has flooring Inspired by the Hayle Estuary.
The three comes just weeks after another pub, The Alfred Wainwright, opened at Haven’s Lakeland site in Cumbria. In total, the four pubs will create around 400 jobs.
Last May saw one of Wetherspoons’ largest ever open at a Haven’s Devon Cliffs site in Exmouth, Devon. The pub can pack in nearly 700 punters, and is expected to serve as many as 2,000 pints a day.
Simon Palethorpe, Haven chief executive, said: “I know just how much holiday makers will enjoy these three new Wetherspoons this Easter. Along with one we opened at Haven Lakeland at the start of March, they’re a fanatic addition to our parks for 2026.
“Since 2021 we’ve invested over £700million, including in a total of nine Wetherspoons, creating fantastic places to come and enjoy the best the British coast has to offer.”
