Charlotte Tilbury’s Iconic Red Lip Secrets Kit – was £77, now £46.20

Eve says: “I’m such a sucker for a red lip. It’s a statement that can complement any monochrome outfit to make it more dramatic and add brightness to your face. My go-to this year has been Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Vixen lip colour, and so it’s safe to say I was buzzing when I saw that this lip kit, which usually costs £77 for two lippies and a liner, had 40% off in the brand’s Boxing Day sales.

“The lipsticks are silky and creamy, leaving your lips moisturised and bright. They also pass the food and drinks test and last for hours without needing reapplication. The lip liner, too, is soft and makes application a breeze. However, the discount will only apply if you enter the code MAGIC at checkout.”

Oliver Bonas’ Meri Cream Beaded Wall Mirror – was £115, now £90

Eve says: “Adding character and personality to your home is a joyful thing, and finding simple pieces that make a real statement makes a difference. Why have a dull, simple frame for it when you can have a geometric design that adds style, texture and fun to your wall, too?

“The Oliver Bonas mirror is decorated with wooden and glass beads, and each one ‘has been individually sewn by hand, creating a crafted look and feel’. Measuring 52 X 37 X 1.5, it is great for an entryway or bedroom. You can even match it with this beaded photo frame, which is £22 from £27.50.”

Tala’s Storm Multiway 3-in-1 Puffer Jacket – was £159, now £63.60

Eve says: “A puffer coat is a useful investment thanks to its cosy make-up that protects you from the unruly British elements. But Tala’s Storm Multiway jacket ups the ante and provides you with not just a puffer jacket, but a gilet too. It also has a detachable, concealable hood to keep your hair intact when the heavens open and rain pours down.

“Usually costing £ 159, the white — or rather ‘Coconut Milk’ — hue has been discounted to just £63.60, saving you £95.40 on this warm winter staple. The coat also has an adjustable hem so you can tighten and loosen it to your comfort and a cosy fleece-lined collar for added toastiness.

“Water-resistant and ‘consciously created with sustainability in mind, made from 100% recycled polyester inner, outer and fill’, it’s a great investment piece that isn’t quite so eye-watering in the boxing day sales.”

Fans of the coat have said it can even withstand temps as low as -17C, with one stating: “This puffer is amazing! It’s so soft, and the quality is amazing. I wear it on holidays in Canada at -17, wearing thin thermal layers underneath and staying very warm.”

Another added, “For anyone wondering if the coat is worth it, it absolutely is! I’m so glad I bought it; it is by far the best winter coat I have ever had.”

Lululemon’s Align™ Tank Top Light Support – was £58, now £34

Eve says: “Getting myself to the gym to undertake a hefty workout to shake off all those mince pies is only made slightly easier when I have a comfortable and pretty stylish workout outfit to complete said workout. With the New Year in sight, I’m looking for a few new pieces that will help me get into gear by January 1.

“I’ve been after some Lululemon for some time, but because it’s relatively expensive, I’ve always opted for cheaper options. However, the sale is a game changer, and spotting this Align Tank Top for £24 less, I might have to treat myself.

“The top is available in sizes 4-18 in the brown shade and is ‘powered by Nulu™ fabric [which] is so weightless and buttery soft’. Due to its low-intensity support, it’s ideal for yoga and pilates, and it’s a great option for those slower days when you just want to indulge in a Yoga flow. With a built-in bra for added comfort and support, the tight fit contours your body and has been praised for fitting ‘so well and is super flattering’.”

Despite being loved for low-intensity workouts, one shopper remarked, “The support is good for a general workout. I’ve used it for running, yoga, regular gym workout, casual day out.” However, it’s important to note that the fit is ‘so small’, so it may be worthwhile trying it on in-store before buying.

Benefit Splashtint – was £21.50, now £18.27

Phoebe says: “I had the pleasure of unboxing Benefit’s beauty advent calendar this year. Hidden inside was a mini version of the Honeymoon Splashtint, which I’ve fallen in love with. I’ve nearly run out of the lippie already, so I was delighted to see that the full-sized product is currently on sale at Boots.

“The Splashtint comes in several colours and is a moisturising formula that gives a dewy finish – it truly feels like I’m not wearing anything on my lips. It contains hyaluronic acid to smooth the appearance of fine lines, goji berry seed oil and raspberry leaf extract to moisturise and visibly smooth lips, and glycerin, which helps retain moisture and contributes to smooth application.

“Benefit says the lipstick is smudge-proof, moisturises lips for eight hours, and provides all-day comfort. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last me all day, as I have to reapply it after eating and drinking, but I adore the colour, formula, and finish. Saying that, it is the most hydrating pigmented lip product I’ve ever used.”

Joanie Clothing Velvet Midi Dress – was £79, now £31.60

Phoebe says: “Joanie Clothing is offering huge discounts on a variety of stunning clothing that would be perfect for New Year’s Eve and winter nights out. This includes the Juno Long Sleeve Velvet Midi Dress, which comes in two gorgeous colours: green and black.

“I’ve got my eye on the green colourway, as I think it would look beautiful paired with black sheer tights and silver heels with a matching clutch bag. Available in sizes eight to 26, the 1970s-inspired dress currently has a lovely £47 off.

“It has a flattering V-neckline, a tie-back sash belt to cinch in your waist, puffed bell sleeves finished with elasticated cuffs and frill detailing, and pretty shirring across the shoulders.”

Unfortunately, some Joanie Clothing shoppers found that the ‘fabric sheds terribly’; however, this isn’t an issue everyone had. However, one thrilled buyer awarded the dress five stars and said: “What a stunning dress. I bought it for a Christmas party but want to wear it every day. It feels comfy, looks gorgeous, is flattering and fits lovely.”

Dr. Martens Leather Heart Shaped Bag – was £140, now £98

Phoebe says: “I first spotted this funky Dr. Martens Brush Off Leather Heart-Shaped Bag a few weeks ago when it was at full price and have been thinking about it ever since. As soon as I saw that it had been slashed by over £40, I immediately added it to my wishlist.

“The unique heart shape combined with the khaki and black brushed pattern makes the handbag unlike any I’ve seen. I adore the harness-style straps and gunmetal stud details; it’ll look amazing with most outfits in my wardrobe.

“The bag has two secure compartments and a front card holder, and the straps can be altered so that it can be worn across the body or like a rucksack. It’s made from hardwearing, rigid Kiev leather with a smooth surface and a slight sheen.”

Paula’s Choice 5% Vitamin C Sheer Moisturizer SPF 50 – was £46, now £39.10

Lauren says: “We should all know by now that SPF is incredibly important and should be worn every day—whether you’re leaving the house or not. I’ve tried a wealth of moisturisers with protective SPF in my career as a shopping writer, but I’m desperate to give this Paula’s Choice formula a try.

“A skincare gem that combines hydration with the brightening benefits of vitamin C, this moisturiser aims to improve the skin’s radiance and even tone. Plus, it works to provide protection against pollution — a must-have if you live in London, like yours truly — and, of course, UV damage.

“Plus, as with all Paula’s Choice products, it’s free from unnecessary fragrances, making it fantastic for sensitive skin (like mine). True, the discount isn’t huge, but I’m sure I won’t be the only beauty fan tempted by this deal.”

Sweet Kisses Print by George Kempster (A4) – was £35, now £17.50

Lauren says: “I recently moved into a new flat, and I’ve been really trying to make my bedroom my own, a sanctuary that is my safe place but also fully expresses who I am. I’ve got a wealth of art prints already, but seriously, can you ever have enough?

“I’ve been looking to Drool, a quirky lifestyle brand specialising in contemporary art prints from emerging artists, for some new gems to brighten my walls. Naturally, I was delighted to discover its winter sale, with up to 50% off sitewide.

“It’s hard to choose a favourite, but I stumbled upon this Sweet Kisses print by George Kempster, and I’m obsessed. I love the striking pop of pink against the white background, and its fun, retro vibe is just up my street. Note that costs will vary depending on the size, and it’ll also go up in price if you opt for a frame.”
