Chef Kunal Kapur's recipe for Besan Cupcakes is perfect for sweet lovers who do not like eating maida. Here's how you can bake these sweet delights at home. 

Flourless Cupcakes

For Besan Cake • 3/4 cup powdered sugar • 1/2 cup softened butter • 1 cup curd • 1½ cup besan • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder • 1¼ tsp baking powder • 1 tsp baking soda • 1 tsp vanilla essence

For Chocolate Icing • 1½ cup dark chocolate • 2 cups whipped cream For Buttercream Icing • 1/2 cup butter • 1/4 cup powdered sugar • 1 tsp vanilla essence

• To make the cupcake batter, whisk softened butter and powdered sugar. Next, add curd to the mixture and whisk again.

• In a separate bowl, mix besan, cardamom powder, baking powder, and baking soda. Add vanilla essence to the butter mixture and pour dry mixture into it as well. Lift, drop, and mix gently.

• Grease cupcake moulds with butter, pour batter, and bake at 180°C for around 20 minutes.

• Mix molten dark chocolate with whipped cream for chocolate icing.

• And to make buttercream icing, whisk butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla essence for a smooth mixture.

• Demould the cupcakes and cool them completely at room temperature. Decorate these treats with buttercream and chocolate icing.
