9 Best Beaches in Todos Santos for Baja Fun

Drive north of Cabo San Lucas in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur for about an hour, and you reach Todos Santos. It’s a funky boho-chic little town on the Pacific Ocean coastline.

Most Todos Santos beaches aren’t safe for swimming. They’re known for their strong rip currents, which have led to tragic drownings. But there are some beaches where you can safely swim.

Playa Los Cerritos

This is popular beach for people who visit Todos Santos, It’s everyone’s favorite beach in Todos Santos for surfing. Boasting some of Mexico’s top surf breaks.

Playa San Pedrito

El Pescadero is a farming town that’s fast becoming the go-to beach haven for those in the know. It attracts a cool crowd of surfers, foodies, all blending in to easy-going atmosphere.

Playa Las Palmas

This is a real gem nestled along the Pacific Ocean. Lined by swaying palm trees, it’s about a quarter of a mile long, sheltered by rocky outcrops at either end.

Playa Punta Lobos

It's named for the sea lions often seen at the rocky point at the beach's south end. It’s protected from the surf and waves, making it one of the best Todos Santos swimming beaches.
