Pour store-bought milk into a pan and heat it for a few minutes. If the colour remains the same, the milk is fine to drink. However, if the colour changes to yellow, throw it away.

One of the easiest hacks is to simply taste a few drops of milk before boiling it. If it tastes horrible and a bit bitter, it means the milk is adulterated.

Choose a slanting plain surface and pour a few drops of milk on it. Synthetic milk flows faster without any white trails.

If you want to make mawa or khoya at home, boil milk for a couple of hours till the liquid turns solid completely. If the end result looks hard and rougher than usual khoya or mawa, it is better to not consume it.
