The UK is expecting a heatwave next week with temperatures across the nation expected to soar above 30C, with the warm spell sticking around for a few days.
WXCharts weather maps, that use MetDesk data, appear to be deep red from the start of the week showing the sweep of hot air that is entering the UK.
From Monday, May 25, regions across the south, north and midlands will enter the thirties, as temperatures are forecast to climb as the week goes on.
This rising temperatures could mark the first official heatwave of the year for the UK.
A heatwave in the UK is defined by the Met Office as at least three consecutive days with daily maximum temperatures exceeding a county-specific threshold, reflecting unusually hot weather for the time of year.
Unsurprisingly, London and surrounding counties Hertfordshire and Surrey will welcome most of the sun, reaching a potential of 31C on Monday.
However, areas in Cheshire and the West Midlands could also see temperatures reach 30C.
In Yorkshire there will also be highs with the Humber area expected to reach 30C.
These highs are expected to last much of the week with London forecast to reach a whopping 32C on Thursday, May 28.

“There may be occasions where low pressure to the north may bring some brief spells of rain across northern parts, but in general fair weather will dominate.
“Temperatures are expected to be above normal, feeling very warm at times with light winds.”
