A travel agency that specialises in trips to the USA has now shut up shop, leaving some would-be travellers with holiday packages dumped and flights abroad cancelled
A UK travel company known for selling dream Disney trips and bucket-list adventures to the Big Apple has officially gone bust, facing both cancelled flights and holiday packages.
Simply Florida Travel Ltd, based in Glasgow, specialised in holidays to North America. The trip-of-a-lifetime was its bread and butter, delivering dreamy itineraries to Britons travelling to Disneyland, Disney World, Universal Studios, New York City, Toronto, Niagara Falls and Miami, and cruise breaks.
According to Companies House, the independent travel agency filed to be struck off the register on October 13, 2025. The firm was officially dissolved on January 6 and later ceased trading as an ATOL-protected provider on January 20.
Its website has also been taken offline.
ATOL, the Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing scheme, is the UK’s financial protection programme for British travellers, has confirmed via its website that Simply Florida Travel operated under a franchise agreement with The Travel Trust Association, known as TTA.
Anyone who has had their travel plans dashed thanks to the travel firm going belly up can contact TTA directly to organise any refunds they may be owed. Or, you can reach out to TTA here.
Simply Florida Travel is the latest travel firm to fail in recent months across the UK. Other travel agencies that shut up shop include Regen Central Ltd, Gold Crest Holidays, Great Little Escapes, Jetline Travel and Asiara UK Ltd.
The description for Simply Florida Travel on social media, where their accounts remain active, reads: “Simply Florida Travel not just another travel agent, we are here to build your dream trip, whether it is 2 weeks in one hotel and visiting the parks or multiple hotels and different experiences we can help you with it all.”
In its last social media post, published to Facebook back in May 2025, the agency pushed an offer it called the 2026 Ultimate City & Falls Escape to New York, Toronto, and Niagara Falls. Oddly enough, the trip was scheduled to run from January 8 to January 15, 2026.
The seven night trip was priced from £1,279 per person, included hotel stays in each city, a free NYC Savings Card, and required a deposit of just £125 per traveller.
