A British travel firm which sells package holidays has gone bust, and holidaymakers have been warned they may not get their money back
A travel agency that sold flight and hotel holiday packages has gone bust with all bookings cancelled.
Regen Central Ltd, a British travel firm founded in 2011 in Hertfordshire, went into liquidation on January 13, according to records on Companies House.
The firm sold holiday and flight packages to destinations in Europe and Southeast Asia. It also operated under the names One Haji & Umrah, Regen Travels, and Oneworld Travels.
A statement on the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) website confirms the company ceased trading as an Air Travel Organisers’ Licence (ATOL) holder last week.
ATOL is run by the CAA and is a UK scheme which provides financial protection for package holidays, meaning people get refunded or repatriated if their travel company goes under.
However, accommodation only and non-flight packages are not protected by ATOL so are not covered by the same refund protection.

The statement reads: “We understand the company had no outstanding ATOL protected bookings. Bookings sold as accommodation only, non-flight packages, and flight only bookings for which tickets were issued are not protected by the ATOL scheme.
As there are no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings, no refunds will be issued.
The statement continued: “If you believe you are owed a refund for an ATOL protected booking, under Regen Central Ltd.’s ATOL, please contact us via email at claims@caa.co.uk.”
One Hajj & Umrah and Oneworld Travels are both highly recommended on Google reviews, with customers citing great service and a professional team.
“Fantastic from start to finish, great hotel and flights, fantastic communication and helped me every step of the way,” one recent review reads. Another says: “They are definitely one of the leading operators in the UK for a reason.”
Other UK-based travel companies to close down in the past year, according to the CAA website, include Ickenham Travel Group Ltd, Great Little Escapes LLP, and Jetline Travel Ltd.
