Multiple snow and ice warnings in place across UK
The Met Office has issued an amber snow and ice alert and four yellow alerts.
The Amber alert, meaning travel delays and power cuts are likely, applies in North East Scotland – specifically Central Tayside and Fife, Grampian, Highlands and Eilean Siar and Orkney and Shetland. This is in place until 10am on Monday.
A yellow alert is in place until 11am on Monday in parts of the East Midlands, North West England, South West England, Wales and the West Midlands and until noon in parts of the East Midlands, East of England, London and South East of England, South West England, Wales, West Midlands, Yorkshire and Humber, and Northern Ireland.
A wider yellow alert is in place North and Central Scotland until midnight on Monday.
