Police are trying to identify a black SUV that struck two children as they left St Bernard’s Primary School in North Belfast

Two children have been hit in a horror hit and run as they left a primary school.

Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) are hunting a black coloured SUV that collided with the pair as they left St Bernard’s Primary School, onto the Antrim Road, in Glengormley, North Belfast. The incident happened at 8am today when the children headed in the direction of Belfast city centre.

PSNI are appealing for witnesses and are asking any drivers that may have been passing the area with dash camera footage of the vehicle or if anyone has witnessed this incident to contact police on 101 and quote reference number CC2025111700242.

People on social media have call on the driver of the SUV to hand themselves in. One said: “Hope they do the right thing and come forward. This is awful.”

Another said: “Shouldn’t be too hard to find them if they were dropping kids of themselves. How anyone could drive off is beyond me.”
